Heating can be set to 3 different levels (0
= seat heating off).
REAR SEATS
Folding the seats
Proceed as follows:
raise the head restraints to the
maximum height and remove them
following the procedure as described in
the paragraph "Head restraint".
move the seat belts to the side,
making sure that they are correctly
extended and not twisted;
raise lever 1 fig. 11 to fold the left or
right side of the backrest and then guide
the backrest onto the cushion (when
lever 1 is raised, you will see a “red band”
2).Repositioning the rear seat
Move the seat belts to the side, making
sure that they are correctly extended and
not twisted.
Raise the previously folded backrest until
you hear the click of the locking
mechanism, visually checking that the
“red bands” on levers 1 fig. 11 are no
longer visible. The “red band” indicates
that the backrest is not secured.
Finally, reposition the head restraints,
inserting them correctly into their
housings.
WARNING
6)All adjustments must be made with the
car stationary.7)Once you have released the adjustment
lever, always check that the seat is locked on
the guides by trying to move it back and
forth. If the seat is not locked into place, it
may unexpectedly slide and cause the driver
to lose control of the car.
8)For maximum safety, keep the backrest
upright, lean back into it and make sure the
seat belt fits closely across your chest and
pelvis.

BOOT
The luggage compartment unlocking is
electrically operated and is deactivated
when the car is in motion.
OPENING
When unlocked, the luggage
compartment can be opened from
outside the car by pressing the electric
logo fig. 31 until a click, which indicates
unlocking, is heard or by pressing the
button on the key.
The direction indicators and internal light
will blink twice when the boot is opened:
the light will go out automatically when
the boot is closed. The light switches off
automatically after a few minutes if the
luggage compartment is left open.Emergency opening from the inside
To carry out the emergency opening from
the inside of the car, remove the rear seat
head restraints, completely fold down
the rear seats (see paragraph “Extending
the luggage compartment”), then press
on lever 1 fig. 32.
CLOSING
Lower the tailgate, pressing near the lock
until you hear it click into place.
Handles are provided inside the tailgate
to make it easier to close.
IMPORTANT Before closing the luggage
compartment make sure that you have
the keys, since the luggage compartment
is automatically locked.LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT
INITIALISATION
IMPORTANT If the battery is
disconnected or the protection fuse
blows, the luggage compartment
opening/closing mechanism must be
initialised as follows:
close all the doors and the luggage
compartment;
press the buttonon the key;
press the buttonon the key;
EXTENDING THE LUGGAGE
COMPARTMENT
The luggage compartment can be
partially (1/3 or 2/3) or totally extended
by splitting the rear seat.
See the descriptions in “Rear seats” for
how to expand the luggage compartment.
BAG HOOKS
There are also bag hooks inside the
luggage compartment.
LUGGAGE RETAINING NET
(for versions/markets, where provided)
This is useful for correctly arranging the
load and/or for transporting light
materials. The luggage retaining net is

SEAT BELTS
USING THE SEAT BELTS
The belt should be worn keeping the
torso straight and rested against the
backrest.
To fasten the seat belts, hold the tongue
1 fig. 41 and insert it into the buckle 3,
until it clicks into place.
On removal of the belt, if it jams, let it
rewind for a short stretch, then pull it out
again without jerking.
To unfasten the seat belts, press button
2 and guide the seat belt with your hand
while it is rewinding, to prevent it from
twisting.

The retractor may lock when the vehicle
is parked on a steep slope: this is
perfectly normal.Furthermore, the reel mechanism locks
the belt if it is pulled sharply or in the
event of sudden braking, collisions and
high-speed bends.
The rear seat is fitted with inertia seat
belts with three anchor points and a
retractor.
Wear the rear seat belts as illustrated in
fig. 42.
IMPORTANT IMPORTANT The backrest
is correctly secured when the red band 1
fig. 43 on the backrest folding handles
2 disappears. This red band indicates
that the backrest is not secured.IMPORTANT When putting the rear seats
back to their normal position, make sure
the seat belts are positioned so they are
ready to use.

53)Never press button 2 when travelling.
54)Remember that, in the event of an
accident, the rear seat passengers not
wearing seat belts are exposed to a very
serious risk and also represent a serious
danger for the front seat occupants.
55)Make sure that the backrest is correctly
secured on both sides (red bands not visible)
to prevent it from moving forward in the
event of sharp braking, causing injuries to
