Maintenance MinderTM
If the engine oil life is less than 15%, you will see the Maintenance Minder messages
appear on the multi-information display (MID) every time you set the power mode
to ON. The messages notify you when to change the engine oil, or when to bring
your vehicle to a dealer for indicated maintenance services.
To Use Maintenance MinderTM
Maintenance items, which should be serviced at the same time that you replace the
engine oil, app ear on the MID.
You can view them on the engine oil life screen at any time.
1. Set the power mode to ON.
2. Roll the multi-function steering-wheel contro ls until the engine oil life appears on
the MID.

Based on the engine ope rating conditions, the
remaining engine oi l life is calculated and displayed
as a percentage.

Handling the Unexpected
Emergency Power System Off
The POWER button may be used to turn the po wer system off due to an emergency
situation even while driving. If you must turn the powe r system off, do either of the
following operations:
• Press and hold the POWER button for about two seconds.
• Firmly press the POWER button three times.
The steering wheel will not lock. However, because turning off the power system
disables the power assist the power syst em provides to the steering and braking
systems, it will require significantly more physical effort and time to steer and slow
the vehicle. Use both feet on the brake pe dal to slow down the vehicle and stop
immediately in a safe place.
The gear position auto matically changes to
(P after the vehicle comes to a complete
stop. Then, the power mode changes to VEHICLE OFF.

Do not press the button while driving unless it is
absolutely necessary for the power system to be
switched off.

If the Electric Parking Brake System Indicator Comes
On
■Reasons for the indicator to come on
Comes on when there is a proble m with the electric parking brake
system.
■What to do when th e indicator comes on
Avoid using the parking brake and immediately get your vehicle
inspected at a dealer.
■What to do when th e electric parking brake indicator comes on
or blinks at the same time
Release the parking brake.

•If the electric parking brake indicator remains on or blinks, even after
releasing the parking brake, immedi ately stop the vehicle in a safe
place, and call a dealer.

• If only the electric parking brake indicator goes off, immediately get
your vehicle inspected at a dealer.
1 If the Electric Parking Brake System Indicator Comes On
If you apply the parking brake, it may not release.
If the electric parking bra ke indicator also turns on,
the parking brake is still applied.
When the electric parking br ake indicator blinks at
the same time as the electric parking brake system
indicator, the system must be checked. The parking
brake may not operate under these conditions.
