The indicators inform the driver of the operating state of the vehicle’s
various systems.
*1: These lights turn on when the engine switch is turned to the “ON” position to indicate that a system check is being performed. They will turn off after
the engine is started, or after a few seconds. There may be a malfunction
in a system if a light does not come on, or turn off. Have the vehicle
inspected by your Scion dealer.
*2: The light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*3: The light does not turn on when the system is disabled.
*4: This light illuminates on the center panel.
*5: When the outside temperature is approximately 37°F (3°C) or lower, theindicator will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.

3-2. Opening, closing and locking the doors
uWireless remote controlLocks all the doors
Check that the door is securely
locked.
Unlocks all the doors
Pressing the button unlocks the
driver’s door. Pressing the but-
ton again within 5 seconds
unlocks the other doors.
uKey
Turning the key operates the doors as follows: Locks all the doors

nOperation signals
A buzzer sounds and the emergency flashers flash to indicate that the doors
have been locked/unlocked using the wireless remote control. (Locked: once;
Unlocked: twice)
n Security feature
If a door is not opened within approximately 60 seconds after the vehicle is
unlocked using the wireless remote control, the security feature automatically
locks the vehicle again.
n Door lock buzzer
If an attempt to lock the doors using the wireless remote control is made
when a door is not fully closed, a buzzer will sound continuously for 5 sec-
onds. Fully close the door to stop the buzzer, and lock the doors again.
n If the wireless remote cont rol does not operate properly
Replace the battery with a new one if it is depleted. ( P. 237)

of replacement varies depending on the bulb. If necessary bulb
replacement seems difficult to perform, contact your Scion
