Set the mode selection dial to the positions shown in the illustration and set the air selec- tion switch (A) to the outside air position. The air flow will be directed to the leg area and the upper part of the passenger compart- ment. Set the desired blower speed. Warm air flows to the leg area and unheatedor slightly warm air (depending upon theposition of the temperature control dial) flows to the upper part of the passenger compart- ment.

Set the mode selection dial (between “ ” windshield and door window. Use this setting to keep the windshield and door windows clear of mist, and to keep the leg area heated (when driving in rain or snow).
Cooling

NOTE
 If the outside air is dusty or contaminated in some way, push the air selection switch (A) to set it to the recirculation position. Let insome outside air from time to time for good ventilation.  To cool the leg areas, set the mode selection dial to the “ ” position.

 While the engine coolant temperature is low, the temperature of the air from the heater will be cool/cold until the engine warms up, even if you have selected warm air with the dial.  When the temperature is set to the highest or the lowest setting under the AUTO opera-tion, the air selection and the air conditioning will be automatically changed as follows. • Quick Heating (When the temperature is set to the highest setting) Outside air will be introduced and the airconditioning will stop. In this case, manual operation is possible. • Quick Cooling (When the temperature is set to the lowest setting) Inside air will be recirculated and the airconditioning will operate. In this case, you cannot select outside air and turn the air conditioning off.

 Cancel functions such as the mobile phone “dial lock”, and connect while on the standby screen.  While connected, mobile phone (receiving calls, etc.) operations may not function cor- rectly.
 Depending on the distance between the prod- uct and the mobile phone, the conditions within the vehicle, and types of screening,connection may not be possible. In these cases, situate the mobile phone as close as possible to the product.  Even though a Bluetooth-capable mobile phone, characteristics and specifications may mean that correct operation may not be pos- sible.  For safety’s sake, do not operate the mobile phone while driving. FM signals do not follow the earth surface nor are they reflected by the upper atmo-sphere. For this reason, FM broadcasts cannot be received over long distances. AM signals follow the earth’s surface and are reflected bythe upper atmosphere. For this reason, AM broadcasts can be received over longer dis- tances. Because of the limited range of FM signals and the way FM waves transmit, you may experience weak or fading FM reception.When the broadcast is blocked by mountains or similar obstructions, reception can be dis- turbed.
