■Adjusting the set speed
Increases the speed
Decreases the speed
Fine adjustment: Momentarily move the
lever in the desired direction.
Large adjustment: Hold the lever in the
desired direction.
■Changing the vehicle-to-vehicle distance (vehicle-to-vehicle distance con-
trol mode)
Pressing the button changes the vehicle-to-
vehicle distance as follows:
Long
Medium
Short
The vehicle-to-vehicle distance is set
automatically to long mode when the
engine switch is turned to IGNITION
ON mode.
If a vehicle is running ahead of you, the
preceding vehicle mark will also be dis-
played.

The vehicle-to-vehicle distance control mode maintains the preset cruising speed as long
as no vehicle is detected ahead.

LDA (Lane Departure Alert) (if equipped)
■Tu r n i n g t h e L D A s y s t e m o n
Press the LDA switch to activate the system.
The LDA indicator and lane lines will
come on.
Press the switch again to turn the LDA
system off.
The LDA system will remain on or off
even if the engine switch is turned to
IGNITION ON mode.
While driving on a road that has lane markers, this system recognizes the lane markers
using a camera as a sensor to alert the driver when the vehicle deviates from its lane.
If the system judges that the vehicle has deviated from its lane, it alerts the driver using a
buzzer and indications on the multi-information display.

What to do if...

■Starting the engine
Ensure that the shift lever is in P and
depress the brake pedal.
Touch the Lexus emblem side of the
electronic key to the engine switch.
When the electronic key is detected, a
buzzer sounds and the engine switch
will turn to IGNITION ON mode.
When the smart access system with
push-button start is deactivated in cus-
tomization setting, the engine switch
will turn to ACCESSORY mode.
Firmly depress the brake pedal and
check that is shown on the
multi-information display.
Press the engine switch.
In the event that the engine still cannot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.

If the electronic key battery is depleted, a warning message will be shown on the multi-
information display. Replace the battery with a new one. For instructions on replacing the
battery, refer to the “OWNER’S MANUAL”. If you need further assistance, contact your
Lexus dealer.
