■Temporarily lowering sensor sensitivity
The sensitivity of the sensor can be temporarily lowered.
Turn the engine switch off while the following conditions are met.
• The headlight switch is in or .
• The headlight switch lever is in high beam position.
• Automatic High Beam switch is on. Turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON mode.
Within 5 seconds after , repeat pulling th e headlight switch lever to the original
position then pushing it to the high beam position quickly 9 times, then leave the
lever in high beam position.
Automatic High Beam (headlights) may turn on even the vehicle is stopped.
CAUTION
■Limitations of the Automatic High Beam
Do not rely on the Automatic High Beam. Always drive safely, taking care to observe
your surroundings and turning high beam on or off manually if necessary.

NOTICE
■Notes when using the Automatic High Beam system
●Do not touch the camera sensor.
●Do not subject the camera sensor to a strong impact.
●Do not disassemble the camera sensor.
●Do not spill liquid onto the camera sensor.
●Do not apply window tinting or stickers to the camera sensor or the area of wind-
shield near the camera sensor.
●Do not place items on the dashboard. There is a possibility that the camera sensor will
mistake items reflected in the windshield for streetlights, the headlights of other vehi-
cles, etc.
●Do not install a parking tag or any other accessories near or around the camera sen-
sor.
●Do not overload the vehicle.
●Do not modify the vehicle.
●Do not replace windshield with non-genuine windshield.
Contact your Lexus dealer.
Observe the following to ensure that the Auto-
matic High Beam functions correctly.

Indicates that the windows and the moon roof are not
fully closed (with the engine switch off, and the driver’s
door open)A buzzer also sounds.
 Close all the windows and the moon roof.
Indicates a malfunction in the brake override system
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates that engine oil level is low
A buzzer also sounds.
 Check the level of engine oil, and add if necessary.
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The automatic headlig ht leveling system; or
• The Automatic High Beam system (if equipped)
• The LED headlight system (if equipped)
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates that the accelerator and brake pedal are being
depressed simultaneously
Release the accelerator or brake pedal.
Indicates that the tire in flation pressure is low
 Check the tire inflation pressure, and adjust to the
appropriate level.

Indicates that the engine oil should be changed. (After
the engine oil is changed and the message has been
reset.)
Check and change the engine oil, and oil filter by
your Lexus dealer. After changing the engine oil, the
message should be reset. ( P. 4 1 3 )

Indicates that all maintenance according to the driven
distance on the maintenance schedule
* should be per-
formed soon.
 Comes on approximately 4500 miles (7200 km)
after the message has been reset.
If necessary, perform maintenance. Please reset
the message after the maintenance is performed.

Indicates that all maintenance is required to correspond
to the driven distance on the maintenance schedule*.
 Comes on approximately 5000 miles (8000 km)
after the message has been reset. (The indicator will
not work properly unless the message has been

the message after the maintenance is performed.

Indicates that the Automatic High Beam switch is
pressed while the headlights are in low beam.
 Turn the high beam on and press the Automatic
High Beam switch again.

Indicates that, since the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control)
system was turned off, the pre-collision brake system
operation is stopped
 Turn the VSC on. ( P. 2 5 1 )

Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Collision System) is not cur-
rently functional because the grille cover or the sensor is
dirty
 Check the grille cover and the sensor and clean
them if they are dirty.
