Indicates that one or more of the doors is not fully closed
The system also indicates which doors are not fully
closed.
If the vehicle reaches a speed of 3 mph (5 km/h),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that
the door(s) are not yet fully closed.
 Make sure that all the doors are closed.
Indicates that the glass hatch is not fully closed
If the vehicle reaches a speed of 3 mph (5 km/h),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate that
the glass hatch is not yet fully closed.
 Close the glass hatch.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the Intuitive parking assist
All assist-sensors flash.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
(If equipped)
Indicates that a intuitive parkin g assist is dirty or covered
with ice
A buzzer also sounds.
 Clean the sensor.
Indicates that the vehicle is being driven at 3 mph (5
km/h) or more with the parking brake still engaged
A buzzer also sounds.
 Release the parking brake.

If you have a flat tire
●Stop the vehicle on a hard, flat surface.
●Set the parking brake.
●Shift the shift lever to P.
●Turn off the rear height control air suspension (if equipped). (
P. 3 3 1 )
●Stop the engine.
●Turn on the emergency flashers. ( P. 5 0 2 )
Your vehicle is equipped with a spare ti re. The flat tire can be replaced with
the spare tire.

CAUTION
■If you have a flat tire
Do not continue driving with a flat tire.
Driving even a short distance with a flat ti re can damage the tire and the wheel beyond
repair, which could result in an accident.

One of the following may be the cause of the problem:
●One or both of the battery terminals may be disconnected.
●The battery may be discharged. (P. 5 5 3 )
●There may be a malfunction in the steering lock system.
Contact your Lexus dealer if the problem cannot be repaired, or if repair procedures
are unknown.
When the engine does not start, the following steps can be used as an interim
measure to start the engine if the engine switch is functioning normally.
Set the parking brake.
Put the shift lever in P.
Set the engine switch to the ACCESSORY mode.
Push and hold the engine switch for about 15 seconds while depressing the
brake pedal firmly.
Even if the engine can be started using the above steps, the system may be mal-
functioning. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
The starter motor does not turn over, the interior lights and headlights
do not turn on, or the horn does not sound.

If the shift lever cannot be shifted from P
Set the parking brake.
Turn the engine switch to ACCESSORY mode.
Depress the brake pedal.
Pry the cover up with a flathead
screwdriver or tool.
Press the shift lock override button.
The shift lever can be shifted while the
button is pressed.
If the shift lever cannot be shifted with your foot on the brake pedal, there may
be a problem with the shift lock system (a system to prevent accidental opera-
tion of the shift lever). Have the vehicl e inspected by your Lexus dealer, imme-
diately.
The following steps may be used as an emergency measure to ensure that the
shift lever can be shifted:

If the vehicle becomes stuck
Stop the engine. Set the parking brake and shift the shift lever to P.
Remove the mud, snow or sand from around the stuck tire.
Place wood, stones or some other material under the tires to help provide
traction.
Restart the engine.
Lock the center differential. (P. 3 3 7 )
Shift the shift lever to the D or R position and release the parking brake. Then,
while exercising caution, depress the accelerator pedal.
■When it is difficult to free the vehicle
Turn off TRAC or Active TRAC/VSC/Trailer Sway Control if these functions are ham-
pering your attempts to free the vehicle. ( P. 3 4 7 )
Carry out the following procedures if the tires spin or the vehicle becomes
stuck in mud, dirt, or snow:
Press to turn off TRAC or Active TRAC/VSC/
Trailer Sway Control.

Customizable features
■Changing by using the menu switch and the “ENTER” switch
When customizing vehicle features, ensure
that the vehicle is parked in a safe
place with the shift lever in P and the parking brake set.
Press and hold the menu switch to display customization mode. ( P. 8 3 )
Press the “ENTER” switch upwards or downwards to select the item to be
customized.
Press the “ENTER” switch to confirm.
Press the “ENTER” switch upwards or downwards to select the desired set-
ting for the item being customized.
Press the “ENTER” switch to confirm.
When customization is completed, pres s the menu switch to clear the cus-
tomization screen.
■Changing by using the multimedia system or navigation system
Press the “SETUP” button on the multimedia system or navigation system.
Select “Vehicle” on the “Setup” screen and select “Vehicle Customization”.
Various setting can be changed. Refer to the list of settings that can be
changed for details.
Your vehicle includes a variety of electronic features that can be personalized
to suit your preferences. The settings of these features can be changed by
using the steering wheel switches, the multimedia system or navigation sys-
tem or at your Lexus dealer.
It is also possible to customize cert ain vehicle features yourself using the
menu switch and the “ENTER” switch.
