Maintenance and care
■LED Lights
The lights other than the front turn signal light (vehicles with single-beam headlights) and
outer foot lights each consist of a number of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your
vehicle to your Lexus dealer to have the light replaced.
■Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does not indicate a
malfunction. Contact your Lexus dealer for mo re information in the following situations:
●Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.
●Wa t e r h a s b u i l t u p i nside the headlight.
■When replacing light bulbs

■Replacing light bulbs
●Turn off the lights. Do not attempt to replace the bulb immediately after turning off the
lights.
The bulbs become very hot and may cause burns.
●Do not touch the glass portion of the light bulb with bare hands. When it is unavoid-
able to hold the glass portion, use and ho ld with a clean dry cloth to avoid getting
moisture and oils on the bulb.
Also, if the bulb is scratched or dropped, it may blow out or crack.
●Fully install light bulbs and any parts used to secure them. Failure to do so may result
in heat damage, fire, or water entering the headlight unit. This may damage the head-
lights or cause condensation to build up on the lens.
■To prevent damage or fire
●Make sure bulbs are fully seated and locked.
●Check the wattage of the bulb before installin g to prevent heat damage.

When trouble arises
Electric power steering system warning light (warning buzzer)Indicates a malfunction in the EP S (Electric Power Steering) sys-
tem
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.

PCS (Pre-Collision System) warning light
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer sounds):
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Collision System)
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
●When the warning light flashes (and a buzzer does not sound):
Indicates that the PCS (Pre-Collision System) is temporarily
unavailable, possibly due to either of the following:
• An area around the radar sensor or camera sensor being dirty
or covered with condensation, ice, stickers, etc.
 Clear the dirt, condensation, ice, stickers, etc.

• Radar sensor or camera sensor being outside of its operational
condition range. (temperature etc.)
 If operational condition (temperature etc.) is satisfied, PCS
(Pre-Collision System) becomes to be available.
●When the warning li ght is illuminated:
Either the VSC (Vehicle Stability Control) system or PCS (Pre-
Collision System) is disabled or both are disabled.
 To enable the PCS (Pre-Collisio n System), enable both the
VSC system and PCS (Pre-Collision System).

Slip indicator
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The VSC system;
•The TRAC system; or
• The hill-start assist control system;
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately.
The light will flash when the VSC, TRAC or ABS system is operat-
ing.

The operation conditions of the camera sensor (temper-
ature, etc.) are not met.
 When the operation conditions of the camera sen-
sor (temperature, etc.) are met, the following sys-
tems will become available.
• PCS (Pre-Collision System)
• LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) system
•Automatic High Beam
(If equipped)
Indicates that the system is temporarily unavailable due
to a malfunction in a sensor other than the camera sen-
sor
A buzzer also sounds.
 Turn the LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) system off, wait
for a little while, and then turn the LKA (Lane-Keep-
ing Assist) system back on.
(If equipped)
Dirt, rain, condensation, ice, snow, etc., are present on
the windshield in front of the camera sensor.
The following systems will be temporarily unusable.
• PCS (Pre-Collision System)
• LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) system
•Automatic High Beam
 Turn the system off, remove any dirt, rain, condensa-
tion, ice, snow, etc., from the windshield, and then
turn the system back on.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the PCS (Pre-Collision Sys-
tem)
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

Water can be used in an emergency
if engine coolant is unavailable.
Start the hybrid system and turn the air conditioning system on to check
that the radiator cooling fans operate and to check for coolant leaks from
the radiator or hoses.
The fans operate when the air conditioning system is turned on immediately after a
cold start. Confirm that the fans are op erating by checking the fan sound and air
flow. If it is difficult to check these, tu rn the air conditioning system on and off
repeatedly. (The fans may not operate in freezing temperatures.)
If the fans are not operating:
Stop the hybrid system immediately and contact your Lexus dealer.
If the fans are operating:
Have the vehicle inspected at the nearest Lexus dealer.

When trouble arises
■If “Hybrid System Overheated Reduced Output Power” is shown on the
multi-information displayStop the vehicle in a safe place.
Stop the hybrid system and carefully lift the hood.
After the hybrid system has cooled down, inspect the hoses and radiator
core (radiator) for any leaks.
