WARNING - Refueling &
Vehicle fires
When refueling, always shut the
engine off. Sparks produced by
electrical components related
to the engine can ignite fuel
vapors causing a fire. Once
refueling is complete, check to
make sure the filler cap and
filler door are securely closed,
before starting the engine.
CAUTION - Exterior paint
Do not spill fuel on the exterior surfaces of the vehicle. Anytype of fuel spilled on paintedsurfaces may damage the paint.
WARNING - Cell phone
fires
Do not use cellular phones
while refueling. Electric current
and/or electronic interference
from cellular phones can poten-
tially ignite fuel vapors causing
a fire.
WARNING
When using an approved
portable fuel container, be sure
to place the container on the
ground prior to refueling. Static
electricity discharge from the
container can ignite fuel vapors
causing a fire. Once refueling
has begun, contact with the
vehicle should be maintained
until the filling is complete. Use
only approved portable plastic
fuel containers designed to
carry and store gasoline.
(Continued) If you must re-enter the vehi-
cle, you should once again
eliminate potentially danger-
ous static electricity dis-
charge by touching a metal
part of the vehicle, away from
the fuel filler neck, nozzle or
other gasoline source.

Make sure to refuel your vehicle
according to the “Fuel requirements”
suggested in section 1.
If the fuel filler cap requires replace-
ment, use only a genuine HYUNDAI
cap or the equivalent specified for
your vehicle. An incorrect fuel filler
cap can result in a serious malfunc-
tion of the fuel system or emission
control system.Emergency fuel filler lid

If the fuel filler lid does not open
using the remote fuel filler lid
release, you can open it manually by
pulling the handle outward slightly.

WARNING - Smoking
DO NOT use matches or a
lighter and DO NOT SMOKE or
leave a lit cigarette in your vehi-
cle while at a gas station espe-
cially during refueling.
Automotive fuel is highly flam-
mable and can, when ignited,
result in fire.
CAUTION
Do not pull the handle exces- sively, otherwise the luggagearea trim or release handle maybe damaged.

If your vehicle is equipped with a
sunroof, you can slide or tilt your
sunroof with the sunroof control lever
located on the overhead console.
The sunroof can only be opened,
closed, or tilted when the ignition
switch is in the ON position. In cold and wet climates, the sun-
roof may not work properly due to
freezing conditions.
After the vehicle is washed or in a rainstorm, be sure to wipe off any
water that is on the sunroof before
operating it.Sunroof open warning
(if equipped)
If the driver turns off the engine, the
warning chime will sound for approx-
imately 7 seconds and a message
“Sunroof Open” will appear on the
LCD display.
Close the sunroof securely when
leaving your vehicle.

CAUTION - Sunroof control lever
Do not continue to move thesunroof control lever after thesunroof is fully opened, closed,or tilted. Damage to the motor orsystem components couldoccur.

death, serious injury, or proper-

Sunshade
To open the sunshade :
Press the sunshade control
switch(1).
To close the sunshade : - When the sunroof glass isopened
If you press the sunshade control
switch(2) once, the sunroof glass
will close then the sunshade will
close.
- When the sunroof glass is closed If you press the sunshade control
switch(2) once or press the sun-
roof control lever(3), the sun-
shade will close. To stop the sliding at any point, press
the sunshade control switch momen-
tarily.
✽ ✽
NOTICE
It is normal for wrinkles to form on
the blind because of its material
characteristic.
Sliding the sunroof
When the sunshade is closed
If you pull the sunroof control lever
rearward, the sunshade will slide all
the way open then the sunroof glass
will slide all the way open. To stop the
sunroof movement at any point, pull
or push the sunroof control lever
momentarily.

If you pull the sunroof control lever
rearward, the sunroof glass will slide
all the way open. To stop the sunroof
movement at any point, pull or push
the sunroof control lever momentarily.
✽ ✽NOTICE
Only the front glass of the panora-
ma sunroof opens and closes.
Tilting the sunroof
When the sunshade is closed
If you push the sunroof control lever
upward, the sunshade will slide all
the way open then the sunroof glass
will tilt.
To stop the sunroof movement at any
point, pull or push the sunroof control
lever momentarily.
When the sunshade is opened
If you push the sunroof control lever
upward, the sunroof glass will tilt.
To stop the sunroof movement at any
point, pull or push the sunroof control
lever momentarily.
Closing the sunroof
Press the sunshade CLOSE button.
The sunroof glass will close then the
sunshade will close. To stop the sun-
roof movement at any point, press
the sunshade control switch momen-
tarily.
If you want to close the sunroof glass
only, push the sunroof control lever.
Push the sunroof control lever again
to close the sunshade. To stop the
sunroof movement at any point, pull
or push the sunroof control lever
momentarily.

Automatic reversal
If an object or part of the body is
detected while the sunroof glass or
sunshade is closing automatically, it
will reverse the direction, and then
stop.
The auto reverse function does not
work if a tiny obstacle is between the
sliding glass or sunshade and the
sunroof sash. You should always
check that all passengers and
objects are away from the sunroof
before closing it. Do not extend the face, neck, arms
or body outside the sunroof while
driving.
Periodically remove any dirt that may
accumulate on the guide rail.
CAUTION
If you drive with the sunroof
opened right after a car wash orrain, water may get inside thevehicle.
CAUTION - Sunroof motor
damage
If you try to open the sunroof when the temperature isbelow freezing or when thesunroof is covered with snowor ice, the glass or the motorcould be damaged.
If the sunshade or sunroof is completely closed or opened,stop pressing the controlswitch. Pressing the controlswitch longer than necessarymay damage the motor.

Resetting the sunroof
Sunroof needs to be reset if (in the
followings)
- Battery is discharged or discon-nected or the related fuse has been
replaced or disconnected
- The one-touch sliding function of the sunroof does not normally oper-
ate
1. Turn the engine on and close the sunroof glass and sunshade com-
pletely.
2. Release the control lever. 3. Push the sunroof control lever for-
ward in the direction of close
(about 10 seconds) until the sun-
roof is moved a little. Then,
release the lever.
4. Push the sunroof control lever for- ward in the direction of close until
the sunroof operates as follows;
SUNSHADE OPEN →TILT OPEN
→ SLIDE OPEN →SLIDE
CLOSE →SUNSHADE CLOSE
Then, release the control lever. When this is complete, the sun- roof system is reset.
For more detailed information, con-
tact an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.
✽ ✽ NOTICE
If you do not reset the sunroof, it
may not work properly.

A panoramic sunroof is made of
glass, therefore it may break in
an accident. If you do not have
your seat belt on, you may go
through the broken glass and
get injured or killed. For all pas-
sengers safety, have the appro-
priate protection on (ex. seat
belt, child restraint seat, etc.).

The driver position memory system
stores and recalls the driver's seat,
outside mirror, and steering wheel
positions, as well as the instrument
panel illumination intensity. By saving
the desired positions, different driv-
ers can recall different settings
according to their preference. If the
battery is disconnected, the memory
will be erased.

Storing driver’s seat positions
1. Move the shift lever into P while
the Engine Start/Stop button is in
the ON position.
2. Adjust the driver’s seat, outside mirrors, steering wheel position
and instrument panel illumination.
3. Press the SET button on the con- trol panel. The system will beep
once.
4. Press one of the memory buttons (1 or 2) within 5 seconds after
pressing the SET button. The sys-
tem will beep twice when memory
has been successfully stored.
DRIVER POSITION MEMORY SYSTEM (IF EQUIPPED)

Never attempt to operate thedriver position memory system
while the vehicle is moving.
This could result in loss of
control, and an accident caus-
ing death, serious injury, or

Do not adjust the seat while wearing seat belts. Moving the
seat cushion forward may
cause strong pressure on the
