•Set Language
When in this display, you may select one of multiple
languages (English/Français/Español) for all display no-
menclature, including the trip functions and the naviga-
tion system (if equipped). Press the “Set Language”
button on the touchscreen, then press the desired lan-
guage button on the touchscreen.
• Touchscreen Beep
When in this display, you may turn on or shut off the
sound heard when a button on the touchscreen is
pressed. Press the “Touchscreen Beep” button on the
touchscreen then select from “on” or “off.”
Units
After pressing the “Units” button on the touchscreen you
may select each unit of measure independently displayed in the Driver Information Display (DID), and navigation
system (if equipped). The following selectable units of
measure are listed below:
•
Speed
Select from: “MPH” or “km/h.”
• Distance
Select from: “mi” or “km.”
• Fuel Consumption
Select from: “MPG” (US), “MPG” (UK), “L/100 km” or
“km/L.”
• Pressure
Select from: “psi,” “kPa,” or “bar.”
• Temperature
Select from: “°C,” or “°F.”

NOTE:To make changes to the Display Brightness with
Headlights ON setting, the headlights must be on and
the interior dimmer switch must not be in the partyor
parade positions.
• Display Brightness With Headlights OFF
When in this display, you may select the brightness with
the headlights off. Adjust the brightness with the “+” and
“–” setting buttons on the touchscreen or by selecting any
point on the scale between the “+” and “–” buttons on the
touchscreen.
NOTE: To make changes to the Display Brightness with
Headlights OFF setting, the headlights must be off and

Set Theme
This feature will allow you to choose a background
theme for the display screen. The theme will change the
background color, highlight color, and button color of the
display screen.

Blu-ray Disc Player
Play A Blu-Ray Disc
The Blu-Ray player is located in the center console.1. Insert a Blu-ray disc into the VES disc player with the
label facing as indicated on the Blu-ray player. The
radio automatically selects the appropriate mode after
the disc is recognized and displays the menu screen,
the language screen, or starts playing the first track.
2. To watch a Blu-ray disc on Rear 1 for driver’s side rear passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 1.
3. To watch a Blu-ray disc on Rear 2 for passenger side rear passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 2.
NOTE:
• To view a Blu-ray disc on the radio press the MEDIA
soft-key on the radio touchscreen, then touch the disc
soft-key. Press the Play soft-key, then the FULL
SCREEN soft-key.

Disc Errors
If the DVD player is unable to read the disc, aDisc Error
message is displayed on the VES and Radio displays and
the disc is automatically ejected. A dirty, damaged, or
incompatible disc format are all potential causes for a
Disc Error message.
If a disc has a damaged track which results in audible or
visible errors that persists for 2.0 seconds, the DVD player
will attempt to continue playing the disc by skipping
forward 1.0 to 3.0 seconds at a time. If the end of the disc is
reached, the DVD player will return to the beginning of the
disc and attempt to play the start of the first track.
The DVD player may shut down during extremely hot
conditions, such as when the vehicle’s interior temperature
is above 120°F. When this occurs, the DVD player will
displayVES High Temp and will shut off the VES displays
until a safe temperature is reached. This shutdown is neces-
sary to protect the optics of the DVD player.

All of the Language settings have a specialOthersetting
to accommodate languages other than Japanese or Eng-
lish. These languages are selected using a special four-
digit code.
To enter a new language code, activate the DVD Setup
Menu. To enter DVD Setup Menu stop the DVD, enter
radio disc mode, then DVD setup and follow these
additional instructions:
• Using the remote control Up and Down cursor but-
tons, highlight the Language item you want to edit,
and then press the remote control ENTER/OK button.
• Using the remote control Down cursor button, select
the Other setting, then press the remote control’s
Right cursor button to begin editing the setting.
• Using the remote control Up and Down cursor but-
tons, select a digit for the current position. After selecting the digit, press the remote control’s Right
cursor button to select the next digit. Repeat this digit
selection sequence for all four digits.
• When the entire four-digit code is entered, press the
remote control’s ENTER/OK button. If the language
code is not valid, the numbers all change back to .
If the digits are visible after this step, then the lan-
guage code is valid.
