Operation
going into engine STOP mode
For your comfort, during parking manoeuvres, STOP mode is not
a
vailable for a few seconds after
c
oming out of reverse gear.
Stop
& Start mode does not affect the
f
unctionality of the vehicle, such as for
example,
braking, power steering...
Never
refuel with the engine in STOP
m
ode; you must switch off the ignition
w
ith the key.
The "ECO"

the

standby:

A
time
counter
calculates
t
he
sum
of
the
periods
in
S
TOP mode
during
a
journey.
I
t
rests
itself
to
zero
every
time
t
he
ignition
is
switched
on
with
t
he
key.
The
Stop
&
Start system
puts
the
engine
t
emporarily
into
standby
-
STOP
mode
-
during
s
tops
in
the
traffic
(red
lights,
traffic
jams...).
The
engine
restarts
automatically
-
START
m
ode
-
as
soon
as
you
want
to
move
off.
T
he
restart
takes
place
instantly,
quickly
and
sil
ently.
Per fect
for
urban
use,
the
Stop
&
Start
system
r
educes
fuel
consumption
and
exhaust
e
missions
as
well
as
the
noise
level
when
s
tationary.
Stop & Start requires a 12 V battery with a special specification and
t
echnology.
All
work on this type of battery must
o
nly be done by a CITROËN dealer or
a
qualified workshop.

Operating fault
In the event of a fault with the system, the "ECO OFF" switch warning lamp flashes for a
f
ew moments then comes on continuously.
Have
it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a
q
ualified
w
orkshop.
In
the event of a fault in STOP mode, the
v
ehicle may stall. All of the instrument panel
w
arning lamps come on. It is then necessary
t
o switch off the ignition and start the engine
a
gain using the key.
Press
this
switch
to
deactivate
the
system.
The
deactivation
is
confirmed
by
the
switch
w
arning
lamp
coming
on
accompanied
by
a
m
essage.
Pressing
this
switch
again
reactivates
the
f
unction.
The
switch
warning
lamp
goes
off,
a
ccompanied
by
a
message.
In
certain
circumstances,
such
as
maintaining
a
comfortable
temperature
in
the
passenger
c
ompartment,
it
may
be
useful
to
deactivate
S
top
&
Start.
You
can
request
deactivation
at
any
time,
once
t
he
ignition
is
switched
on.
If
the
engine
is
in
STOP
mode,
it
restarts
i
mmediately.
Stop
&
Start
reactivates
automatically
each
t
ime
the
ignition
is
switched
on.

Opening the bonnet

Before
driving through a flooded road,
i
t is strongly recommended that you
d
eactivate the Stop & Start system.
For
more advice on driving,

articularly on flooded roads, refer to

Before
doing anything under the bonnet,
d
eactivate the Stop & Start system to
a
void the risk of injury related to an
a
utomatic change to START mode.

Hill start assist
System which holds your vehicle temporarily (approximately 2 seconds) when starting on a
s
lope, the time it takes to move your foot from
t
he brake pedal to the accelerator pedal.
This
function is only active when:
-
t
he vehicle is completely stationary, with
y
our foot on the brake pedal,
-
c
ertain conditions on a slope are met,
-
w
ith the driver’s door closed.
The hill start assist function cannot be
deactivated.
On an ascending slope, with the vehicle
stationary, the vehicle is held momentarily
when you release the brake pedal:

p
rovided you are in automated mode
(
position
A)
or in manual mode (position M)
w
ith an electronic gearbox.
Do
not leave the vehicle while it is
b
eing held in the hill start assist phase.
If
you need to leave the vehicle with
t
he engine running, manually apply
t
he parking brake then ensure that the
p
arking brake warning lamp is on (not
f
lashing) in the instrument panel.Operation
On a descending slope, with the vehicle
stationary and reverse gear engaged, the
vehicle is held momentarily when you
release the brake pedal.
Operating fault
If a malfunction of the system occurs, these warning lamps come on. Contact a CITROËN
d
ealer or a qualified workshop to have the
s
ystem checked.

System which prevents the vehicle from exceeding the speed programmed by the

When
the programmed speed limit is reached,
p
ressing the accelerator pedal in the normal
m
anner no longer has any effect.
The
speed limiter is switched on
m
anually:
it r
equires a programmed speed of at least
20
mph (30 km/h).
The
speed limiter is switched off
by manual
o
peration of the control.
The
programmed speed can be exceeded
t
emporarily by pressing the accelerator firmly.
To
return to the programmed speed, simply
s
low down to a speed below the programmed
s
peed.

Speed limiter
The speed limiter cannot, in any circumstances, replace the need to r
espect speed limits, nor can it replace the

eed for vigilance on the part of the driver.The

Cruise control

40 km/h), as well as the engagement of:

The cruise control is switched off

f activation of the windscreen wipers.

soon as the brightness returns to an

dequate level or after the windscreen wipers

re switched off, these lamps are switched off

utomatically and the daytime running lamps

ome on.

Automatic rain sensitive
windscreen wipers
The windscreen wipers operate automatically, without any action on the part of the driver, if
r
ain is detected (sensor behind the rear view
m
irror), adapting their speed to the intensity of
t
he rainfall.
Activation
This is controlled manually by the driver by pushing s talk A to the "AUTO" p osition.
It is accompanied by the illumination of this indicator lamp in the instrument panel and a
message in the multifunction screen.
Switching off
This is controlled manually by the driver by moving stalk A upwards, returning it to
p
osition
"0".
It
is accompanied by the indicator lamp
