Locking the vehicle
Normal locking
F With the electronic key on your person a
nd in the recognition zone A, press with a
finger
or thumb on one of the door handles
(
at the markings).
Maintaining
pressure allows the windows to be
r
aised to the desired position.
If one of the doors or the boot is still
open
or
if
the
electronic
key
for
the
K
eyless
Entry
and
Starting
system
has
b
een left inside the vehicle, the central
locking
does
not
take
place.
However,
the
alarm
(if
present)
will
be
f
ully
activated
after
about
45
seconds.
As
a
safety
measure
(children
on
b
oard),
never
leave
the
vehicle
without
t
aking
the
key
for
the
Keyless
Entry
and
S
tarting
system,
even
for
a
short
period.
Be
aware
of
the
risk
of
theft
when
the
k
ey
for
the
Keyless
Entry
and
Starting
s
ystem
is
in
one
of
the
defined
zones
w
ith
the
vehicle
unlocked.
The
automatic
folding
and
unfolding
o
f
the
door
mirrors
can
be
deactivated
b
y
a
CITROËN
dealer
or
a
qualified
w
orkshop. In order to preserve the battery in the
electronic
key
and
the
vehicle's
battery,
t
he "hands-free" functions are put into
long-term
standby
after
21
days
without
u
se.
To
restore
these
functions,
press
o
ne
of
the
remote
control
buttons
or
s
tart
the
engine
with
the
electronic
key
i
n
the
reader.
For
more
information
on
starting
with
t
he
Keyless
Entry
and
Starting
system,
r
efer
to
the
corresponding
section.
If
the
vehicle
is
unlocked
by
mistake
a
nd with no action on the doors or boot,
the
vehicle
will
lock
again
automatically
a
fter
about
30
seconds.
If
the
alarm
had
been
activated
p
reviously, it will not be reactivated
automatically.

Alarm*
- exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
T he alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open a

oor, the boot, the bonnet...

The system checks for any variation in the volume in the passenger compartment.

alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a

indow, enters the passenger compartment or

oves inside the vehicle.
- tilt
The system checks for any change in the attitude of the vehicle.
The
alarm is triggered if the vehicle is lifted,
m
oved or knocked.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of service of its components.
The
alarm is triggered if the battery, the central
c
ontrol or the siren wiring are put out of service
o
r damaged. For
all work on the alarm system, c
ontact a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified w orkshop.
System
which
protects
and
provides
a
deterrent
against theft and break-ins. It provides the

ollowing

Reinitialisation
After reconnecting the battery or a fault, you must be reinitialise the operation of the electric
w
indows. For each of the control switches on

he driver's side control panel:

elease the control and pull it again until

he window closes fully,

ontinue to hold the control for
approximately

ne

ress the control to lower the window

to the low position,

hen the window has reached the low
position,
press the control again for

The safety anti-pinch function is not
operational during these operations.
Safety anti-pinch
When the window rises and meets an obstacle, i t stops and partially lowers again.
If
the window cannot be closed (for
e
xample, in the presence of ice), once

he window has lowered:

ress and hold the control until the
window opens fully,

t
hen pull the control immediately
a
nd hold it until the window closes,
F
c
ontinue to hold the control for
approximately
one second after the
w
indow has closed.
The safety anti-pinch function is not

Tailgate release
Unlocking

Locking after closing
If the fault persists after closing again, the boot will remain locked.

9. "REST" function: ventilation with the engine off
Even with the engine is off, you c
an operate the ventilation for a
few minutes.
8. Air intake / Air recirculation
F Press this button for recirculation of the interior
air.
The indicator lamp in the

utton comes on.
Air
recirculation enables the passenger
c
ompartment to be isolated from exterior
o
dours
and
smoke.

A
s soon as possible, press this button
again
to permit the intake of outside air and
p
revent
the formation of condensation. The
i
ndicator lamp in the button goes off.
Avoid
prolonged operation in interior air
r
ecirculation mode (risk of misting and
d
eterioration of air quality). For
example, while you are away from the
v
ehicle, the passengers can still enjoy some air
c
irculation without having the engine running.
This
function is available after switching on the
i
gnition, as well as after stopping the engine.
The period that the function is available
depends
on the state of charge of the battery.
You can activate the "REST" function while the
air
conditioning control screens are on.On switching on the engine

T he control screens come on: the function
i
s available.

P
ressing the REST button activates the
ventilation
for a few minutes. Activation of
t
he function is confirmed by the display of
t
wo dashes in the control screens and four
air
flow level indicator lamps.

he function can be deactivated and
reactivated
if the control screens are on.

eriod.
