Draining water from the fuel fi l t e r
Purge regularly (at each oil change).
To drain the water, slacken the bleed screw or the water-in-diesel-fuel sensor located at the base of t h e fi l t e r .
Operate until the water has com-pletely drained away.
Then retighten the bleed screw or the water in diesel fuel sensor.

Priming the fuel system
In the event of running out of fuel: A f t e r fi l l i n g ( 5 l i t r e s m i n i m u m ) , operate the manual priming pump until some resistance is felt.Operate the starter motor while depressing the accelerator pedal slightly until the engine starts.
I f t h e e n g i n e f a i l s t o s t a r t a t t h e fi r s t attempt, wait 15 seconds before trying again.
If the engine fails to start after seve-ral attempts, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
When the engine is idling, accelerate slightly to complete the bleeding of the circuit.
