Instrument Panel Storage
If equipped with storage behind the
fuse box, push on the cover and
release to open.
If equipped with storage behind the
radio, press
Pand hold to open.
There is a USB port inside. See
USB Port 0164.
Press
Pand hold again to close.
Caution
To avoid damage, do not
manually force the display
to move.
Keep the storage area closed when
not in use.

Clock (Uplevel Radio)
Setting the Time and Date
To set the time or date:1. Select Settings from the Home Page, then select Time and
Date Settings.
2. Select the desired function.
To set the time or date, press
«or
ªto change the hour, minutes,
AM, or PM.
To change the 12-24Hr setting,
press the 12-24Hr button.
To turn Auto Set on and off, press
the Auto Set screen button.
Auto Set requires an OnStar
subscription.
If Auto Set is on, the time displayed
on the clock may not update
immediately when driving into a new
time zone.
Press
qBACK to go to the last
menu and save the changes or
{to
return to the Home Page.
Power Outlets
Power Outlets 12 Volt Direct
Current
The accessory power outlets can be
used to plug in electrical equipment,
such as a cell phone or MP3 player.
There are three accessory power
outlets:
. Inside the front storage area
below the climate control
system.
. Inside the center console.
. On the rear of the center
console.
The outlet is powered when the
ignition is in ON/RUN or ACC/
ACCESSORY, or until the driver
door is opened within 10 minutes of
turning off the vehicle. See Retained
Accessory Power (RAP) 0208.
Open the protective cover to use the
accessory power outlet. Certain electrical accessories may
not be compatible with the
accessory power outlets and could
overload vehicle or adapter fuses.
If there is a problem, see your
dealer.
When adding electrical equipment,
be sure to follow the installation
instructions included with the
equipment. See
Add-On Electrical
Equipment 0246.
Caution
Hanging heavy equipment from
the power outlet can cause
damage not covered by the
vehicle warranty. The power
outlets are designed for
accessory power plugs only, such
as cell phone charge cords.
Always unplug electrical equipment
when not in use and do not plug in
equipment that exceeds the
maximum 20 amps rating.

Turn and Lane-Change
Signals
Move the lever all the way up or
down to signal a turn.
An arrow on the instrument cluster
flashes in the direction of the turn or
lane change.
Raise or lower the lever until the
arrow starts to flash to signal a lane
change. Hold it there until the lane
change is completed. If the lever is
briefly pressed and released, the
turn signal flashes three times.
The turn and lane-change signal
can be turned off manually by
moving the lever back to its original
position.If after signaling a turn or lane
change, the arrow flashes rapidly or
does not come on, a signal bulb
may be burned out.
Have any burned out bulbs
replaced. If a bulb is not burned out,
check the fuse. See
Fuses0276.
Interior Lighting
Instrument Panel
Illumination Control
The brightness of the instrument
panel lighting and steering wheel
controls can be adjusted.
D(Instrument Panel
Illumination) : Move the
thumbwheel up or down to brighten
or dim the lights.
Courtesy Lamps
The courtesy lamps come on when
any door is opened and the dome
lamp is in the DOOR position.

.The outside temperature is not
in the required operating range,
typically below -10 °C (14 °F) or
above 50 °C (122 °F).
. The shift lever is in any gear
other than D (Drive).
. The battery has been recently
disconnected.
. The battery charge is low.
. The interior comfort level has not
reached the required level for
the climate control system or
defog settings. Use the eco
(green indicator on) air
conditioning mode for better
efficiency. See Dual Automatic
Climate Control System 0184.
. The auto stop time is greater
than two minutes.
Engine Heater
The engine coolant heater,
if equipped, can help in cold
weather conditions at or below −18 °
C (0 °F) for easier starting and better
fuel economy during engine
warm-up. Plug in the coolant heater
at least four hours before starting the vehicle. An internal thermostat
in the plug end of the cord will
prevent engine coolant heater
operation at temperatures above
−18 °C (0 °F).
To Use the Engine Coolant
Heater
1. Turn off the engine.
2. Open the hood and unwrap the
electrical cord. The electrical
cord is on the driver side of the
engine compartment, between
the fender and the engine
compartment fuse block.
Check the heater cord for
damage. If it is damaged, do
not use it. See your dealer for
a replacement. Inspect the
cord for damage yearly
3. Plug it into a normal, grounded 110-volt AC outlet.
{Warning
Improper use of the heater cord
or an extension cord can damage
the cord and may result in
overheating and fire.
. Plug the cord into a
three-prong electrical utility
receptacle that is protected
by a ground fault detection
function. An ungrounded
outlet could cause an
electric shock.
. Use a weatherproof,
heavy-duty, 15 amp-rated
extension cord if needed.
Failure to use the
recommended extension
cord in good operating
condition, or using a
damaged heater or
extension cord, could make
