Engine Oil Use only engine oil meeting the dexos1™ specification of the proper SAE
viscosity grade. Look for the dexos1 approved logo for GM approved
engine oil. See Engine Oil0255.
Engine Coolant 50/50 mixture of clean, drinkable water and use only DEX-COOL
®Coolant.

Hydraulic Brake System DOT 3 Hydraulic Brake Fluid (GM Part No. 19299818, in Canada 19299819).
Windshield Washer Automotive windshield washer fluid that meets regional freeze protection requirements.

a specific OnStar subscription plan.
With Automatic Crash Response, in
many crashes, built-in sensors can
automatically alert a specially
trained OnStar Advisor who is
immediately connected to the
vehicle to help.

emergency service providers, direct
them to your exact location, and
relay important information.
With OnStar Crisis Assist, specially
trained Advisors are available
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, to
provide a central point of contact,

With Roadside Assistance, Advisors
can locate a nearby service provider
to help with a flat tire, a battery
jump, or an empty gas tank.
Security
If equipped, OnStar provides these

OnStar Advisors can use GPS to
pinpoint the vehicle and help
authorities quickly recover it.

the engine from being started.

“Verify” to check how many minutes
remain and their expiration date.
Diagnostics
OnStar Advanced Diagnostics can
perform a check of the vehicle's key
operating systems through a
monthly diagnostics report, through
real time alerts or by pressing
Q.
OnStar can also monitor tire
pressure, if equipped with a Tire
Pressure Monitor System.

Transferring Service

can cancel or change account

Selling/Transferring the
Vehicle

terminate your OnStar services if
the vehicle is disposed of, sold,
transferred, or if the lease ends.
Reactivation for Subsequent
Owners
PressQand follow the prompts to
speak to an Advisor as soon as
possible. The Advisor will update
vehicle records and explain OnStar
service options.
