manually armed or disarmed.
The vehicle is automatically
immobilized when the key is
removed.
This security light blinks whenever
the ignition is placed in LOCK, OFF,
or ACC. The system is automatically
disarmed when the vehicle is
started with the correct key. The key
uses a transponder that matches an
immobilizer control unit in the
vehicle and automatically disarms
the system. Only the correct key
starts the vehicle. The vehicle may
not start if the key is damaged. If the immobilizer system is
malfunctioning, the security light will
remain on while the ignition switch
is placed in ON.
If the engine will not start using a
registered key:
1. Leave the ignition in ON for
about five seconds.
2. Turn the ignition to OFF or LOCK, and wait for about
10 seconds.
