PARK ASSIST OFF
This message displays when the
parking assist system has been
turned off or when there is a
temporary condition causing the
system to be disabled. SeeParking
Assist 0175.
PARK ASSIST FAULT CLEAN
BUMPER
This message displays if snow,
mud, ice, or dirt is blocking the
sensors on the bumpers. Clean the
bumpers.
SERVICE FRONT CAMERA
If this message remains on after
continued driving, the vehicle needs
service. Do not use the Lane
Departure Warning (LDW) and
Forward Collision Alert (FCA)
features. Take the vehicle to your
dealer.
SERVICE PARKING ASSIST
This message displays if there is a
problem with the Front and Rear
Parking Assist (FRPA) system. Do
not use this system to help you
park. See Parking Assist 0175.
SERVICE SIDE DETECTION
SYSTEM
If this message remains on after
continued driving, the vehicle needs
service. Side Blind Zone Alert
(SBZA) and Rear Cross Traffic Alert
(RCTA) features will not work. Take
the vehicle to your dealer.
SIDE BLIND ZONE ALERT OFF
This message indicates that the
driver has turned the Side Blind
Zone Alert (SBZA) system off.
SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM
UNAVAILABLE
This message indicates that Side
Blind Zone Alert (SBZA) and Rear
Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA) are
disabled either because the sensor
is blocked and cannot detect
vehicles in the blind zone, or the
vehicle is passing through an open
area, such as the desert, where
there is insufficient data for
operation. This message may also
activate during heavy rain or due to
road spray. The vehicle does not need service. For cleaning, see
“Washing the Vehicle”
under
Exterior Care 0252.
Ride Control System
Messages
ALL WHEEL DRIVE OFF
If your vehicle has the All-Wheel
Drive (AWD) system, this message
displays when the rear drive system
is overheating. This message turns
off when the rear drive system cools
down. If the warning message stays
on for a while, you need to reset the
warning message. To reset the
warning message, turn the ignition
off and then back on again. If the
message stays on, see your dealer
right away. See All-Wheel Drive
0 166 for more information.
SERVICE ALL WHEEL DRIVE
SYSTEM
If your vehicle has the All-Wheel
Drive (AWD) system, this message
displays if a problem occurs with
this system. If this message
appears, stop as soon as possible
and turn off the vehicle. Restart the

Select Restore Home Page Defaults
to return the Home Page to the
default settings.
Select Yes or No
Display Off
Select to turn the display off. Press
or turn any faceplate button to turn
the display on.
Vehicle Settings
The following list of menu items may
be available:

Climate and Air Quality
If equipped, select the Climate and
Air Quality menu and the following
may display:
.
Auto Fan Speed
. Air Conditioning Mode
. Remote Start Auto Heat Seats
. Auto Defog
. Auto Rear Defog
Auto Fan Speed
This allows the selection of the
automatic fan speed. This feature
sets the climate control fan speed to
maintain the interior temperature.
Select High, Medium, or Low.
Air Conditioning Mode
When on, the Air Conditioning will
come on when the vehicle is
started.
Select On, Off, or Last Setting.
Remote Start Auto Heat Seats
On vehicles with remote start and
heated seats, the heated seats can
be set to on or off. Select On or Off.
Auto Defog
When selected and high humidity is
detected, the climate control system
may adjust to outside air supply and
turn on the air conditioner or the
heater. The fan speed may slightly
increase to help prevent fogging.
When high humidity is no longer
detected, the system will return to
its prior operation.
Select or Deselect.
Auto Rear Defog
When selected, this feature turns on
the rear defogger at vehicle start
when the interior temperature is cold
and fog is likely. The auto rear defog
function can be disabled by
pressing
1. When off, the feature
can be turned on by pressing
1.

Vehicle Locator Lights
This allows the headlamps, parking
lamps, taillamps, and most of the
interior lamps to turn on briefly
when
Kis pressed.
Select or Deselect.
Power Door Locks
Select Power Door Locks and the
following may display:
. Open Door Anti Lock Out
. Auto Door Unlock
. Delayed Door Lock
Open Door Anti Lock Out
When selected, this feature will
keep the driver door from locking
when the door is open. When
deselected, the Delayed Door Lock
menu will be available and the door
will lock as programmed through
this menu.
Select or Deselect.
Auto Door Unlock
This allows selection of which of the
doors will automatically unlock when
the vehicle is shifted into P (Park). Select All Doors, Driver Door,
or OFF.
Delayed Door Lock
When selected, this feature will
delay the locking of the doors after
the last door is closed.
Select or Deselect.Remote Lock/Unlock/Start
Select Remote Lock/Unlock/Start
and the following may display:

Remote Unlock Feedback
This allows selection of what type of
feedback is given when unlocking
the vehicle with the RKE transmitter.
Select Flash Lights or Off.
Remote Lock Feedback
This allows selection of what type of
feedback is given when locking the
vehicle with the RKE transmitter.
Select Lights and Horn, Lights Only,
Horn Only, or Off. Remote Door Unlock
This allows selection of which doors
will unlock when pressing
Kon the
RKE transmitter.
When set to Driver Door, the driver
door will unlock the first time
Kis
pressed and all doors will unlock
when
Kis pressed a second time.
When set to All Doors, all of the
doors will unlock at the first press
of
K.
Select Driver Door or All Doors.
Return to Factory Settings?
Select Return to Factory Settings?
to return all vehicle personalization
to the default settings.

The following are climate control
settings that use more fuel:
.Comfort air conditioning mode.
. The defrost mode.
. Extreme temperature settings,
such as LO or HI.
. High fan speed settings.
To help reduce fuel usage:
. Use the full automatic control as
described under “Automatic
Operation” following.
. Use eco air conditioning, instead
of the comfort air conditioning.
. Select a temperature setting that
is higher in hot weather and
lower in cold weather.
. Turn off the air conditioning
when it is not needed.
. Only use defrost to clear the
windows.
9(Fan Control) : Turn the knob
clockwise or counterclockwise to
increase or decrease the fan speed.
Turn the knob completely to 0 to
turn off the fan and air conditioning
compressor. Temperature Control :
Turn the
knob clockwise or counterclockwise
to increase or decrease the
temperature setting.
Air Delivery Mode Control :
Press
[,Y, orXto change the
direction of the airflow. Air delivery
mode settings can be combined. An
indicator light comes on in the
selected mode button.
[(Floor) : Air is directed to the
floor outlets.
Y(Vent) : Air is directed to the
instrument panel outlets.
X(Defog) : Air is directed to the
windshield and side window vents.
0(Defrost) : Press to clear the
windshield of fog or frost more
quickly. Air is directed to the
windshield.
For best results, clear all snow and
ice from the windshield before
defrosting.
Do not drive the vehicle until all the
windows are clear.
Air Conditioning
#(Air Conditioning) (For
Non-Stop/Start Vehicles) : Press
to turn the air conditioning on or off.
If the fan is turned off or the outside
temperature falls below freezing, the
air conditioner will not run and the
indicator light turns off.
#(Comfort/Eco Air Conditioning)
(For Stop/Start Vehicles) : Press
to cycle between the off, comfort,
and eco air conditioning modes. The
indicator will be lit in comfort and
eco modes and turns off when there
is no air conditioning function. If the
fan is turned off or the outside
temperature falls below freezing, the
air conditioning compressor will
not work.
For comfort a/c, press
#. The
indicator will turn amber. When the
indicator light is on, the air
conditioner runs automatically to
cool the air inside the vehicle or to
dry the air needed to defog the
windshield faster.

For eco a/c, press#again. The
indicator will turn green. This setting
balances fuel economy and air
conditioning comfort. In warm
weather conditions, auto stops may
occur more frequently and the
vehicle interior may be warmer as
compared to the comfort air
conditioning. This setting allows
higher humidity inside the vehicle
and window fogging before the
engine restarts.
Pressing the
0button during an
auto stop may restart the engine to
prevent window fogging. To reach
comfort levels quickly during an
auto stop, the engine will restart if
the air conditioner is off and
#is
selected.
If temperature controls are adjusted
cooler during an auto stop, the
engine may restart to ensure that
comfort is reached.
h(Recirculation) : Press to turn
on the recirculation. An indicator
light comes on. Air is recirculated
inside the vehicle. It helps to quickly
cool the air inside the vehicle or
reduce entry of outside air and
odors. To improve fuel efficiency
and to cool the vehicle faster,
recirculation may be automatically
selected in warm weather when the
temperature is set to the coldest
setting. The recirculation light will
not come on. Press
hto select
recirculation; press it again to select
outside air.
Rear Window Defogger
1(Rear Defogger) : Press to turn
the rear window defogger on or off.
An indicator light on the button
comes on to show that the rear
window defogger is on. The defogger only works when the
ignition is in ON/RUN. The defogger
turns off if the ignition is in the ACC/
ACCESSORY or LOCK/OFF
position.
Do not drive the vehicle until all the
windows are clear.
Caution
Do not use a razor blade or sharp
object to clear the inside rear
window. Do not adhere anything
to the defogger grid lines in the
rear glass. These actions may
damage the rear defogger.
Repairs would not be covered by
the vehicle warranty.

Auto Defog : The climate control
system may have a sensor to
automatically detect high humidity
inside the vehicle. When high
humidity is detected, the climate
control system may adjust to
outside air supply and turn on the air conditioner. If the climate control
system does not detect possible
window fogging, it returns to normal
operation. To turn Auto Defog
off or on, see "Climate and Air
Quality" under
Vehicle
Personalization 0121.
Rear Window Defogger
=(Rear Window Defogger) :
Press to turn the rear window
defogger on or off. An indicator light
on the button comes on to show that
the rear window defogger is on.
The defogger only works when the
ignition is in ON/RUN. The defogger
turns off if the ignition is in the ACC/
ACCESSORY or LOCK/OFF
position.
The rear window defogger can be
set to automatic operation; see
“Climate and Air Quality” under
Vehicle Personalization 0121.
When auto rear defog is selected,
the rear window defogger turns on
automatically when the interior
temperature is cold and the outside
temperature is about 4 °C (40 °F)
and below. The auto rear defogger
turns off automatically after about

Air Vents
Use the louvers located on the air
vents to change the direction of the
airflow.
Use the thumbwheels near the air
vents to control the amount of
airflow or to shut off the airflow.
Operation Tips
.Keep all outlets open whenever
possible for best system
performance.
. Keep the paths under all seats
clear of objects to help circulate
the air inside the vehicle more
effectively.
. Use of non-GM approved hood
deflectors can adversely affect
the performance of the system.
Maintenance
Air Intake
Clear away any ice, snow, or leaves
from the air intake at the base of the
windshield that can block the flow of
air into the vehicle.
Passenger Compartment
Air Filter
The filter removes dust, pollen, and
other airborne irritants from outside
air that is pulled into the vehicle.
The filter should be replaced as part
of routine scheduled maintenance.
See Maintenance Schedule 0263.

1. Open the glove box completely and disconnect the damper on
the outboard side.2. Push in both sides of the glovebox and pull to remove.
3. Open the filter cover by releasing tabs on both sides
and pulling up the cover.
