The main categories in Settings view are: My
Car, Sound, Navigation, Media,Communication, Climate and System.
Each main category, in turn, contains several sub- categories with possible settings. The tableshows the first level of sub-categories. The possi-ble settings for a function or area are describedin greater detail in their respective articles in theowner's manual. For system settings not descri-bed in the respective articles, see "Changing sys-tem settings in Settings view." Certain settings are personal, which means that they can be saved in a driver profile. Voice control
Voice commands make it possible for the driver to voice-control certain functions in the mediaplayer, a Bluetooth-connected cell phone, cli- mate system and the Volvo navigation system *.
Voice control offers convenience and enables the driver to keep his/her hands on the steeringwheel and concentrate on driving and the trafficsituation around the vehicle.
WARNING
As the driver, you have full responsibility for operating the vehicle safely and adhering toall applicable traffic regulations.
Input to the system is in dialog form and compri- ses commands from the driver and a verbalresponse from the system. The voice control system uses the same micro- phone as the Bluetooth hands-free system and system responses come via the infotainment sys-tem's speakers. In certain cases, text messages are also provided in the instrument panel. The functions are controlled using the right-side steering wheel keypad and settings are madefrom the center console.
System updatesThe voice control system is being constantly improved and updates should be downloaded foroptimal functionality. See the article "Systemupdates" and the Volvo Cars support sitesupport.volvocars.com.

Using a point of interest (POI) as a destination
Selecting a point of interest (POI) is one way of setting a destination.
1. Tap Set dest. in the lower
margin. A keyboard will be dis- played with search alternativesin the upper margin. 2. Continue by selecting a
POIfrom the upper margin.
Examples of POIs
Many POIs (e.g., restaurants) have sub-categories (e.g., Chinese restaurants). Proposed POIs are listed according to their dis- tance to the vehicle symbol or the center of themap (if it has been scrolled). See the article "Map settings" for informationabout selecting the POIs to be displayed on themap. This will show the selected POIs available inthe area. This setting does not affect searchesfor POIs to be used as destinations (even onesthat have not been selected for display can beused as a destination). Certain POIs will only appear if the map scale is greater than 1 mi. (1 km).
NOTE
•
The appearance, number and variations of POIs vary from market to market.
• Some symbols may be added/deletedwhen the navigation system's software isupdated. The POIs available for the cur-rent map system can found in the menusystem.
FiltersWhen an itinerary has been activated and a POI category has been selected, a filter will be availa-ble to limit the search list to only show POIsalong the route. This list can then be sorted byname or distance.
•
Along route: only shows POIs along the
route.
With filters activated, the list can be sorted by
Name or Distance. Proposed POIs are listed according to their dis- tance from the vehicle symbol on the map orfrom the center of the map if it has been scrolled.
