How does the remote key work?
What do the lights in the remote key (PCC*
only) indicate?01

g\feen light: the vehicle is locked.
Yellow light: the vehicle is unlocked.
Red light: the ala\fm has been t\figge\fed.
Alte\fnatively flashing \fed lights: the ala\fm was t\fig-
ge\fed less than 5 minutes ago.

ala\fm. this setting can be changed in MY CAR.
Locks the doo\fs and the tailgate and a\fms the ala\fm.

How do I set/release the parking brake?01

when it has been fully applied.

How do I start the engine?
Holding the end of the \femote key with the base of
the key blade, inse\ft the \femote key into the ignition

Many of the vehicle’s functions can be cont\folled in MY

position, locks, etc.

How do I set the clock?
go to Settings > System options > Time in MY
CAR.
\b\fess OK/MENU to activate the hou\f box. tu\fn
TUNE to set the hou\f and p\fess OK/MENU.

How does keyless drive* work?
wea\fing thick gloves may affect the unlocking function. keyless d\five can be affected by elect\fomagnetic fields and metal obst\fuctions.

How do I start the engine? Afte\f a cold sta\ft, idle speed may be noticeably highe\f than no\fmal fo\f a sho\ft pe\fiod, \fega\fdless of the ambient tempe\fatu\fe. this is done
to help b\fing components in the emission cont\fol system to thei\f no\fmal ope\fating tempe\fatu\fe as quickly as possible.
What does BLIS* do? bLiS is an info\fmation system, not a wa\fning o\f safety system and does not function in all situations. bLiS does not eliminate the need
fo\f you to visually confi\fm the conditions a\found you and the need fo\f you to tu\fn you\f head and shoulde\fs to make su\fe that you can
safely change lanes o\f back up. As the d\five\f, you have full \fesponsibility fo\f changing lanes/backing up in a safe manne\f.
How does Pedestrian Detection* work? the system cannot detect all pedest\fians in all situations, such as in da\fkness/at night and cannot detect pa\ftially hidden pedest\fians,
people who a\fe less than app\fox. 32 in. (80 cm) tall, o\f people wea\fing clothing that obscu\fes the contou\fs of thei\f bodies.
How does the moonroof* work? du\fing manual closing, if the moon\foof is obst\fucted, immediately open it again. neve\f open o\f close the moon\foof if it is obst\fucted in any
way. neve\f allow a child to ope\fate the moon\foof. when leaving the vehicle, ensu\fe that the ignition is in mode
0 to disable the moon\foof.
neve\f leave the \femote key/\bcc* in the vehicle. neve\f extend any object o\f body pa\ft though the open moon\foof, even if the vehicle’s
ignition is completely switched off.
How do I adjust the seat? do not adjust the seat while d\fiving. the seat should be adjusted so that the b\fake pedal can be dep\fessed fully. in addition, position the
seat as fa\f \fea\fwa\fd as comfo\ft and cont\fol allow.
How do I adjust the steering wheel? Afte\f adjusting the seat, always adjust the stee\fing wheel p\fio\f to d\fiving.
What does the trip computer’s “Distance to empty” indicate? the accu\facy of the figu\fe shown may va\fy if you\f d\fiving style changes. An economical d\fiving style will gene\fally inc\fease this distance.
How should I care for leather upholstery? clothing that is not colo\ffast, such as new jeans o\f suede ga\fments, may stain the upholste\fy. gasoline, naphtha o\f simila\f cleaning agents
should neve\f be used on the leathe\f since these can cause damage.
Where are the AUX/USB/12-volt sockets? the maximum cu\f\fent consumption is 10A (120w) if only one of the 12-volt sockets in the passenge\f compa\ftment is in use. if both the
f\font and \fea\f sockets a\fe used at the same time, the maximum cu\f\fent consumption pe\f socket is 7.5A (90w).
