Vehicle lighting settings
Time Set hours and minutes for the instrument cluster
clock, the Radio & Navigation System clock, and the
analog clock. The digital clocks can be set to show
the time in 12 or 24 hour format, and can also be set
to daylight savings time.
Snow tires Set up a visual and acoustic speed warning. Use the
feature only when winter tires are installed that have
a speed rating less than top vehicle speed.
Compass Calibrate the compass on vehicles without a factory-
installed navigation system. To calibrate, follow the
instructions in the instrument cluster display
Units Set the units in which temperature, fuel consumption,
and distances should be displayed (for example,
whether to show distance driven in miles or kilome-
ters).
Service View the service reminder display
Factory

Reset the functions in the Settings menu back to the
factory settings.

NOTICE
Please be careful when parking your vehicle in areas with
parking barriers or curbs. These vary in height and could dam-
age your bumper and related parts if the front of your vehicle
hits a barrier or curb that is too high while you are getting into or
out of a parking spot.
Always be careful when you enter a driveway or drive up or
down steep ramps or over curbs or other obstacles. Parts of the
vehicle close to the ground may be damaged (such as bumper
covers, spoilers, and parts of the engine, suspension, and ex-
haust systems).

Secure luggage in the luggage compartment using suitable straps
and the tie downs ⇒ Tie-downs. Also see ⇒  Luggage compartment.
Adjust the headlight range, if necessary ⇒  Lights.
Check the pressure in all 4 tires when the tires are still cold. Never
reduce air pressure in warm tires to match cold tire inflation pressure.
Heed the information on the tire pressure label ⇒  Tires and wheels.
Pay especially close attention to your vehicle's Tire Pressure Moni-
toring System when driving with a heavy load ⇒ Tire Pressure Moni-
toring System (TPMS).
NOTICE
Wires in the rear windows such as for heating or for an antenna
can be damaged by objects that rub against them.

Driving with an open luggage compartment lid

Only mount the base carrier at the attachment points shown in the
illustration.
Once you have installed the base carrier correctly, you can secure
the roof rack on the base carrier according to the manufacturer's in-
structions.
WARNING
Installing or using a base carrier or roof rack improperly can
cause the entire system to fly off the vehicle, causing accidents
and injuries.
Always follow the installation instructions provided by the
manufacturer.
Use the base carrier and roof rack only if they are undam-
aged and properly installed.
Secure the base carrier only at the attachment points shown
in the illustration (2).
Always install the base carrier and roof rack properly.
Make sure that all bolts and fasteners are properly installed
and properly tightened before every trip and retighten them as
needed after driving a short distance. During a long trip, check
all bolts and fasteners at each stop.
Always properly install special fixtures for items such as bi-
cycles, skis, surfboards, etc.
Do not modify or repair the base carrier or roof rack.
Follow the installation instructions provided for installing the roof
rack system. Always carry them in the vehicle.
Securing a load on the roof rack
