Distance

CNG quality
Whenever you refuel the quality of
the natural gas is automatically veri-
fied and is displayed when the igni-
tion is switched on. The display is
made in a percentage of between
70% and 100%. The greater the per-
centage displayed the lower the con-
sumption may be.
Average
speed
The average speed will be shown af-
ter a distance of about 100 metres
has been travelled. Otherwise hori-
zontal lines are displayed. The value
shown is updated approximately ev-
ery 5 seconds.

The engine reaches its operating temperature
when in normal driving conditions, the oil
temperature is between 80°C (180°F) and
120°C (250°F) . If the engine is required to
work hard and the outside temperature is
high, the engine oil temperature can in-
crease. This does not present any problem as
long as the warning lamps  ›››

page 42 or  ›››
table on page 42 do not
appear on the display.

The essentialsMenu “Partial time”
Partial
timeFor about 5 seconds a partial time is dis-
played. The timer continues in parallel.
New lap
The timer of the current lap stops and a
new lap starts immediately. The time for
the lap you have just completed is inclu-
ded in the statistics.
StopThe current lap timer will be interrupted.
The lap does not end. The

A maximum of 10 laps is possible, and a
total duration of 99 hours, 59 minutes
and 59 seconds.
If one of the 2 limits is reached, you will
have to reset the statistics in order to be-
gin a new timer.

The speed warning device warns the driver
when they h
av

e exceeded the pre-set speed
limit by 3 km/h. An audible warning is given
and the lamp  can be seen simultaneously
on the instrument panel, as well as a mes-
sage for the driver: speed warning ex- ceeded! The warning lamp  switches off
when reducing speed below the stored maxi-
mum limit.
Speed warning programming is recommen-
ded if you wish to be reminded of a maxi-
mum speed, such as when travelling in a
country with different speed limits or for a
maximum speed for winter tyres.
Setting speed limit warning
You can use the radio or the Easy Connect* to
set, alter or cancel the speed limit warning.

services without engine oil change (e.g. In-
spection).
In vehicles with Services established by time
or mileage, the service intervals are already
pre-defined.
In vehicles with LongLife Service , the inter-
vals are determined individually. Thanks to
technological progress, maintenance work
has been greatly reduced. Because of the
technology used by SEAT, with this service 38

you only need to change the oil when the ve-
hic l

equires. To calculate this change
(max. 2 years), the vehicle's conditions of
use and individual driving styles are consid-
ered. The pre-warning first appears 20 days
before the date established for the corre-
sponding service. The kilometres (miles) re-
maining until the next service are always
rounded up to the nearest 100 km (miles)
and the time is given in complete days. The
current service message cannot be viewed
until 500 km after the last service. Prior to
this, only lines are visible on the display.
Inspection reminder
When the Service date is approaching, when
the ignition is switched on a Service remind-
er is displayed.
Vehicles without text messages : a span-
ner  will be displayed on the instrument
panel plus an indication in km.
The kilometres indicated are the maximum
number of kilometres that can be travelled
until the next service. After a few seconds,
the display mode changes. A clock symbol
appears and the number of days until the
next service is due.

--- km or --- days will be shown on the

ed on and the spanner displayed on the
screen flashes for a few seconds .

With the ignition switched on, the engine off
and the vehicle at a standstill, the current
service notification can be read:

● If you reset the display manually, the next

cles with fixed service intervals. For this rea-
son we recommend that the service interval

When the engine is cold, replace the coolant
when the level is below .
Coolant specifications
The engine cooling system is supplied from
the factory with a specially treated mixture of
water and at least 40 % of the additive G13
(TL-VW 774 J), purple. This mixture gives the
necessary frost protection down to -25°C
(-13°F) and protects the light alloy parts of
the engine cooling system against corrosion.
It also prevents scaling and considerably rai-
ses the boiling point of the coolant.
To protect the cooling system, the percentage
of additive must always be at least 40 %, 52

The vehicle can be towed using a tow bar or
tow rope in the normal way, with all four
wheels on the road; it can also be towed with
either the front or rear wheels lifted off the
road. The maximum towing speed is 50 km/h
(30 mph).

The vehicle can be towed with a tow bar or
tow rope in the normal way, with all four
wheels on the ground. When doing so,
please note the following points:
● Make sure the selector l
ever is in the N po-
sition.
● The vehicle must not be towed faster than
50 km/h (30 mph).
● The vehicle must not be towed further than
50 km (30 mile
s). Reason: when the engine is not running, the gearbox oil pump does
not work

and the gearbox is not adequately
lubricated for higher speeds or longer distan-
ces.
If the vehicle has to be towed with a break-
down truck, it must only be suspended at the
front wheels. Reason: the drive shafts are lo-
cated on the front wheels. If the car is towed
with the rear wheels lifted off the road (I.e.
travelling backwards), the drive shafts also
turn backwards. The planetary gears in the
automatic gearbox then turn at such high
speeds that the gearbox will be severely
damaged in a short time. Note
● If it i

s not possible to tow the vehicle in the
normal way, or if it has to be towed further
than 50 km (30 miles), it must be transported
on a special car transporter or trailer.
● Should the power supply to the selector

Introduction In general, a fuse can be assigned to various
electric
al

components. Likewise, an electrical
component can be protected by several
fuses.
Only replace fuses when the cause of the
problem has been solved. If a newly inserted
fuse blows after a short time, you must have
the electrical system checked by a special-
ised workshop as soon as possible. WARNING
The high voltages in the electrical system can
give seriou s

electrical shocks, causing burns
and even death!

tion syst
em.
● Take care not to cause short circuits in the
electrica
