Take the tool 4 out of the tool kit.
– Remove objects from the luggage compartment before closing the tail-
gate;
– close the tailgate manually by push- ing it shut.

When opening or closing the roof,
ensure that nothing interferes with
the moving parts (roof and luggage
compartment lid).

From the driver’s seat:
– switch off the engine to exit safety mode;
– unclip the two blanking covers from the locks 3 and 5 located on each
side of the roof, and use the tool 6 to
secure the locks fully (movement A
for lock 3, movement B for lock 5);
– make sure that the roof is correctly locked.
Contact your approved dealer as
soon as possible.

Press button 1 and lift the luggage
compartment lid.
To close
Lower the luggage compartment lid.
Lower it until it touches the tailgate lock,
without slamming it .
The tailgate closes electrically.

Risk of injury
Ensure that there is nothing hindering the closure of the tailgate (chi\
l-
dren’s hands, for example).
Operating faults
If the tailgate cannot be opened, it can
be released manually:
– insert the emergency key in the lock 2;
– turn the key (movement A) then
raise the tailgate.
Close the tailgate by pushing it shut.

PUNCTURE, EMERGENCY SPARE WHEEL
Special note:
The Tyre Pressure Monitor function
does not check the emergency spare
wheel (the wheel replaced by the emer-
gency spare wheel disappears from the
instrument panel display).
Refer to the information on the “Tyre
pressure monitor” in Section 2.In the event of a puncture,
depending on the vehicle,
you will have:
An emergency spare wheel or tyre in-
flation kit (refer to the information on the
following pages).
Emergency spare wheel
This is located in the luggage compart-
ment. To access it:
– open the tailgate;
– fold the luggage compartment di-vider;
– fold back the luggage compartment carpet using the tab 1;
– unscrew the central mounting;
– remove the emergency spare wheel.1
If the emergency spare wheel has been stored for several years, have it \
checked by your Dealer to ensure that it is
safe to use.
Vehicles fitted with an emergency spare wheel which is different to the f\
our other wheels:
– Never fit more than one emergency spare wheel to the same vehicle.
– Replace the emergency spare wheel as soon as possible with a wheel ident\
ical to the original one.
– When this is fitted to the vehicle, which must only be a temporary measu\
re, the driving speed must not exceed the speed indicated on the label on the wheel.
– Fitting an emergency spare wheel may alter the way the vehicle usually r\
uns. Avoid sudden acceleration or deceleration and reduce your speed when cornering.
– If you need to use snow chains, fit the emergency spare wheel to the rea\
r axle and check the tyre pressure.

Towing is prohibited when the GTW - MAM calculation is equal to zero, or \
when the GTW is equal to zero (or is not listed) on th e
identification plate.
– It is important to comply with the towing weights, governed by local leg\
islation in each country and, in particular, laid down in the Road Traffic Regulations. Contact your approved dealer about any towing equipment\
.
– When towing, under no circumstances may the total train weight (vehicle + trailer) be exceeded . However the following is
permitted:
– the Maximum permissible weight at the rear may be exceeded by no more th\
an 15%,
– the maximum permissible all-up weight may be exceeded by no more than 10\
% or 100 kg (whichever occurs first).
In either case, the maximum speed of the vehicle and trailer must not ex\
ceed 60 mph (100 km/h) and the tyre pressures must be increased by 0.2 bar (3 PSI).
– The engine output and climbing capability are reduced with altitude. We recommend that the maximum load be reduced by 10% at an altitude of 1,000 metres and by an additional 10% for each 1,000 m\
etres thereafter.
