1 to 6 Station memory operations
Twelve stations can be set for the FM band (6 for
FM1, 6 for FM2) and 6 stations can be set for the
AM band. Eighteen stations can be set for the
SXM band (6 for SXM1, 6 for SXM2, 6 for
SXM3) .1. Choose the radio band AM, FM1 or FM2 using the FM·AM select button or choose
the radio band SXM1, SXM2, SXM3 using
the SXM button.
2. Tune to the desired station using manual or seek tuning. Press and hold any of the de-
sired station memory (1 – 6) until a beep
sound is heard. 3. The channel indicator will then come on and
the sound will resume. Programming is now
complete.
4. Other buttons can be set in the same man- ner.
If the battery cable is disconnected or if the fuse
opens, the radio memory will be canceled. In that
case, reset the desired stations.
Presets can also be selected by touching the
desired preset number on the screen.Smart Favorites Preset Setup (if so
equipped)
The Smart Favorites feature allows the user to
designate presets, within the SXM1, SXM2 and
SXM3 bands, as their Smart Favorites. When any
of the Smart Favorite presets are selected, the
current track on that station will play from the
beginning of the song.

CAUTION
●Do not force the USB device into the
USB port. Inserting the USB device
tilted or up-side-down into the port may
damage the port. Make sure that the
USB device is connected correctly into
the USB port.
● Do not grab the USB port cover (if so
equipped) when pulling the USB device
out of the port. This could damage the

where it can be pulled unintentionally.

To connect an iPod® to the vehicle so that the
iPod® can be controlled with the audio system
controls and display screen, use the USB con-
nection port located in the center console

Connect the iPod®-specific end of the cable to
the iPod® and the USB end of the cable to the
USB connection port on the vehicle. If your
iPod® supports charging via a USB connection,
its battery will be charged while connected to the
vehicle with the ignition switch in the ACC or ON
position. While connected to the vehicle, the iPod® may
only be able to be operated by the vehicle audio
controls.
To disconnect the iPod® from the vehicle, re-
move the USB end of the cable from the USB
connection port on the vehicle, then remove the
cable from the iPod®.

Connecting iPod®

●Keep the antenna as far away as pos-
sible from the electronic control
modules.
● Keep the antenna wire more than 8 in
(20 cm) away from the electronic control
system harnesses. Do not route the an-
tenna wire next to any harness.
● Adjust the antenna standing-wave ratio
as recommended by the manufacturer.
● Connect the ground wire from the CB
radio chassis to the body.

– Your vehicle is outside of the cellular ser- vice area.
– Your vehicle is in an area where it is difficult to receive a cellular signal; such
as in a tunnel, in an underground parking
garage, near a tall building or in a moun-
tainous area.
– Your cellular phone is locked to prevent it from being dialed.
● When the radio wave condition is not ideal
or ambient sound is too loud, it may be
difficult to hear the other person’s voice dur-
ing a call.
● Do not place the cellular phone in an area
surrounded by metal or far away from the
in-vehicle phone module to prevent tone
quality degradation and wireless connection
disruption.
● While a cellular phone is connected through
the Bluetooth® wireless connection, the
battery power of the cellular phone may dis-
charge quicker than usual. The Bluetooth®
Hands-Free Phone System cannot charge

USING THE SYSTEM
The NISSAN Voice Recognition system allows
hands-free operation of the Bluetooth® Hands-
Free Phone System.
If the vehicle is in motion, some commands may
not be available so full attention may be given to
vehicle operation.
Initialization
When the ignition switch is placed in the ON
position, NISSAN Voice Recognition is initialized,
which takes a few seconds. If the

Hands-Free Phone System. If you have a com-
patible Bluetooth® enabled cellular phone, you
can set up the wireless connection between your
cellular phone and the in-vehicle phone module.
With Bluetooth® wireless technology, you can make or receive a hands-free telephone call with
your cellular phone in the vehicle.
Once your cellular phone is connected to the
in-vehicle phone module, no other phone con-
necting procedure is required. Your phone is
automatically connected with the in-vehicle

You can connect up to 5 different Bluetooth®
cellular phones to the in-vehicle phone module.
However, you can talk on only one cellular phone
at a time.
