MOVING OBJECTDETECTION (MOD)
FUNCTION

The Moving ObjectDetection (MOD)system
can inform thedriver ofmoving objects when
driving outofgarages, maneuvering intoparking
lots and inother suchinstances.
The MOD system detects movingobjects by
using image processing technologyonthe
image shown inthe display .
The MOD system operates inthe following
conditions whenthecamera viewisdisplayed:
. When theshift lever isin the P(Park) orN
(Neutral) position(CVTmodel) orthe shift
lever isout ofthe R(Reverse) position(MT
model) andthevehicle isstopped, theMOD
system detects themoving objects inthe
Bird's-Eye View.The MOD system willnot
operate ifthe outside mirrorsaremoving in
or out orifeither doorisopened. .
When theshift lever isin the D(Drive)
position (CVTmodel) orthe shift lever isout
of the R(Reverse) position(MTmodel) ,and
the vehicle speedisbelow approximately 5
MPH (8km/h) ,the MOD system detects
moving objects inthe Front View.
. When theshift lever isin the R(Reverse)
position andthevehicle speedisbelow
approximately 5MPH (8km/h) ,the MOD
system detects movingobjects inthe Rear
View .The MOD system willnot operate if
the liftgate isopen.
The MOD system doesnotdetect moving
objects inthe Front-Side View.The MOD icon
is not displayed onthe screen wheninthis view .
WARNING
. The MOD system isnot asubstitute
for proper vehicle operation and
does notprevent contactwiththe
objects surrounding thevehicle.
When maneuvering, alwaysusethe
outside mirrorandinside rearview
mirror andturn andlook tocheck
the surroundings tomake sureitis

heard.
. The MOD system performance will
be limited according toenvironmen-
tal conditions andsurrounding ob-
jects suchas:

light.

other vehicle's headlight orsun-
light ispresent.
