Operation of each component
RC350/RCF_U (OM24636U)
Fold the seatback completely for-
ward.
The front seat will move forward
automatically.
■Returning the front seat to its original position
Move the seatback backward until it locks. The front seat will return to its orig-
inal position automatically.
■When adjusting the seat
●Take care when adjusting the seat so that the head restraint does not touch the ceiling.
●RC350: When folding down a rear seatback, if it interferes with a front seatback, adjust
the front seat position so that the seats no longer interfere with each other. However, if
adjusting the front seat position causes th e correct driving posture to not be main-
tained, return the rear seatback to its original position. ( P. 1 5 5 )
■Lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat
●After the front seat is moved forward by operating the “Front, Fold & Return” seat lever,
if a power seat adjusting switch or a driving position memory switch is pressed, the front
seat will not return to its original position even if the front seatback is moved backward
until it locks.
●The lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” se at will not operate in the following situa-
tions:
• The front seat belt of the seat to be operated is fastened.
• The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode and the shift lever is in a position other
than P (driver' s seat only).
●Operation of the lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat will stop in the following sit-

• A power seat adjusting switch or a driv ing position memory switch is pressed.

■When adjusting the seat position
●Take care when adjusting the seat position to ensure that other passengers are not
injured by the moving seat.
●Do not put your hands under the seat or near the moving parts to avoid injury.
Fingers or hands may become jammed in the se at mechanism.
●Make sure to leave enough space around the feet so they do not get stuck.
■Seat adjustment
To reduce the risk of sliding under the lap belt during a collision, do not recline the seat
more than necessary.
If the seat is too rec lined, the lap belt may slide past the hips and apply restraint forces
directly to the abdomen, or your neck may contact the shoulder belt, increasing the risk
of death or serious injury in the event of an accident.
Adjustments should not be ma de while driving as the seat may unexpectedly move and
cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
■Lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat
●Before operating the lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat, ensure that any sur-
rounding passengers or objects will not contact the seat.
●Make sure the seatback is lo cked securely before driving.
●Never operate the lever-operated “Front, Fold & Return” seat while the vehicle is
moving.
■Jam protection function
Do not use a hand, foot, or any other part of your body to intentionally activate the jam
protection function.

■Things that must not be carried in the trunk
The following things may cause a fire if loaded in the trunk:
●Receptacles containing gasoline
●Aerosol cans
■Storage precautions
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may prevent the pedals from being depressed properly, may block the
driver’s vision, or may result in items hittin g the driver or passengers, possibly causing
an accident.
●Stow cargo and luggage in the trunk whenever possible.
●RC350: To prevent cargo and luggage from sliding forward during braking, do not
stack anything in the enlarged trunk. Keep cargo and luggage low, as close to the
floor as possible.
●RC350: When you fold down the rear seats, long items should not be placed directly
behind the front seats.
●RC350: Never allow anyone to ride in the en larged trunk. It is not designed for pas-
sengers. They should ride in their seats with their seat belts properly fastened.
●Do not place cargo or luggage in or on the following locations.
• At the feet of the driver
• On the front passenger or rear seats (when stacking items)
• On the package tray
• On the instrument panel
•On the dashboard
• In front of the navigation system scre en (if equipped) or Lexus Display Audio
screen (if equipped)
●Secure all items in th e occupant compartment.
■Capacity and distribution
●Do not exceed the maximum axle weight ra ting or the total vehicle weight rating.
●Even if the total load of occupant’s weight and the cargo load is less than the total load
