Turn the bulb base counterclock-
wise.
Remove the light bulb.
When installing, reverse the steps listed.■
Front turn signal lights (bulb type)
Open the hood and remove the cover for engine compartment cover.

Remove the cover.
Push the center of the clip.
Remove the clip and cover.
Turn the bulb base counterclock-

Align the 2 tabs positions and
close the cover.
Fix the cover by pushing the
center of the clip.
Install the engine compartment cover. (  P. 5 0 3 )■
Rear turn signal lights
Open the back door and attach
protective tape around the lamp
body. (Use masking tape, do not
use Duct tape, as duct tape may
leave markings.)
Remove the cover. It is recommended for safeguarding
to wrap the tip of the screwdriver
with a cloth, etc., in order to prevent
scratches to the vehicle.
Remove the 2 bolts. 8

Replacing the following bulbs
If any of the lights listed below has burnt out, have it replaced by your Lexus
dealer. ●
Headlight low beams ●
Headlight high beams (LED type) ●

After replacing the bulbs

LED lights
The headlight low beams, headlight high beams (LED Type), front turn signal lights (LED
Type), parking lights, daytime running lights, front fog lights, front side marker lights (LED
Type), side turn signal lights, rear side ma rker lights, stop/tail lights, rear side marker
lights, high mounted stoplight and license plate lights, outer foot lights consist of a num-
ber of LEDs. If any of the LEDs burn out, take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer to have
the light replaced. ■
Condensation build-up on the inside of the lens
Temporary condensation build-up on the inside of the headlight lens does not indicate a
malfunction. Contact your Lexus dealer for mo re information in the following situations:●
Large drops of water have built up on the inside of the lens.●
Wa t e r h a s b u i l t u p i n side the headlight.■

Fluid leaks under the vehicle
(Water dripping from the air co nditioning after use is normal.)●
Flat-looking tires or uneven tire wear ●
Engine coolant temperature gauge needle continually points higher than nor-

Excessive tire squeal when cornering ●
Strange noises related to the suspension system ●
Pinging or other noises related to the hybrid system ●

Appreciable loss of power ●

sounds Calmly perform the following actions if any of the warning lights comes on or
flashes. If a light comes on or flashes, bu t then goes off, this does not necessar-
ily indicate a malfunction in the system. However, if this continues to occur,
have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

Indicates that:
• The brake fluid level is low; or
• The brake system is malfunctioning

Indicates a malfunction in the vehicle’s charging system
 Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and contact your

• The regenerative braking system;
• The electronically controlled brake system; or
• The electric parking brake

• The hybrid system;
• The electronic engine control system;
• The electronic throttle control system; or

If “Depress Brake When Vehicle Is Stopped Hybrid System May Overheat” is shown
Message is displayed when the accelerator pedal is depressed to maintain the vehicle
position when stopped on a upward slope, etc.
If this continues, the hybrid system may overheat.
Release the accelerator pedal and depress the brake pedal. ■
If “Oil Maintenance Required Soon” is shown
Indicates that the engine oil is scheduled to be changed. (The indicator will not work
properly unless the oil maintenance data has been reset.)
Check the engine oil, and change if necessar y. After changing the engine oil, the oil
change system should be reset. (  P. 5 0 6 )■
If “Oil Maintenance Required” is shown
Indicates that the engine oil should be changed. (After the engine oil is changed and the
oil maintenance data has been reset.)
Check and change the engine oil, and oil filt er by your Lexus dealer. After changing the
engine oil, the oil change system should be reset. (  P. 5 0 6 )■
If “See Owner’s Manual” is shown ●

NX300h_U_OM78007UIf the 12-volt battery is discharged If you have a set of jumper (or booster) cables and a second vehicle with a 12-volt
battery, you can jump start your vehicle by following the steps below.
Open the hood (  P. 5 0 0 ) a n d f u s e
box cover.
Open the exclusive jump starting
terminal cover.
Remove the engine cover.The following procedures may be used to start the hybrid system if the vehi-
cle’s 12-volt battery is discharged.
You can also call your Lexus dealer or a qualified repair shop. 1
