Using a seat belt extender ●
Do not wear the seat belt extender, if you can fasten the seat belt without the
extender. ●
Do not use the seat belt extender wh en installing a chil d restraint system,
because the belt will not securely hold the child restraint sy stem, increasing the
risk of death or serious injury in the event of a sudden stop, sudden swerve or
accident. ●
The personalized extender may not be sa fe on another vehicle, when used by
another person, or at a different seatin g position other than the one originally
intended.
NOTICE■
When using a seat belt extender
When releasing the seat belt, press on th e buckle release button on the extender,
not on the seat belt.
This helps prevent damage to the vehicle interior and the extender itself.

When the mirror select switch is in the L or R position, the outside rear
view mirror will automatically angl e downwards when the vehicle is
reversing in order to give a better view of the ground.
To disable this function, move the mirror select sw itch to the neutral posi-
tion (between L and R).
■ Adjusting the mirror angle when the vehicle is reversing
With the shift lever in R, adjust the mirror angle at a desired position.
The adjusted angle will be memorize d and the mirror will automatically
tilt to the memorized angle whenever the shift lever is shifted to R from
next time.
The memorized tilt position of mirror is linked to the normal position
(angle adjusted with the shift lev er in other than R). Therefore, if the
normal position is changed after adjustment, the tilt position will also
change.
When the normal position is change d, readjust the angle in reversing.

When the mirrors are fogged up
The outside rear view mirrors can be cl eared using the mirror defoggers. Turn on
the rear window defogger to turn on the outside rear view mirror defoggers.

Auto anti-glare function
When the anti-glare inside rear view mi rror is set to auto mode, the outside rear
view mirrors will activate in conjunction wi th the anti-glare inside rear view mirror
to reduce refle cted light. (  P. 102)■
