CAUTION
■Head restraint precautions
Observe the following precautions regarding the head restraints. Failure to do so
may result in death or serious injury.
●Use the head restraints designed for each respective seat.
●Adjust the head restraints to the correct position at all times.
●Do not drive with the head restraints removed.
■The active head restraint on the front passenger seat
Do not place anything, such as a cushion, on the front passenger’s seat.
Doing so will disperse the passenger’s weight, which may prevents the sensor from
detecting the passenger’s weight properly . As a result, the active head restraint
may not activate in the event of an accident.
■Active head restraint precautions
●Do not put head restraint covers.
●For removal, installation, modification, disassembly or disposal of the active head
restraints, contact your Lexus dealer.
Inappropriate handling of th e active head restraints may prevent them from oper-
ating properly during an accident.

CAUTION
■Things that must not be carried in the trunk
The following things may cause a fire if loaded in the trunk:
●Receptacles containing gasoline
●Aerosol cans
■Storage precautions
Observe the following precautions.
Failure to do so may prevent the pedals from being depressed properly, may block
the driver’s vision, or may result in items hitting the driver or passengers, possibly
causing an accident.
●Stow cargo and luggage in the trunk whenever possible.
●Do not place cargo or luggage in or on the following locations.
• At the feet of the driver
• On the front passenger or rear seats (when stacking items)
• On the package tray
• On the instrument panel
•On the dashboard
• In front of the Remote Touch screen
●Secure all items in the occupant compartment.
■Capacity and distribution
●Do not exceed the maximum axle weight rating or the total vehicle weight rating.
●Even if the total load of occupant’s weight and the cargo load is less than the total
load capacity, do not apply the load unevenly. Improper loading may cause dete-
rioration of steering or braking control which may cause death or serious injury.

5-2. Lexus Climate Concierge
Automatic air conditioning system (P. 339, 352)
Set the air conditioning sy stem to automatic mode.
The temperature for the driver’s seat, front passenger’s seat and both rear seats
can be adjusted individually.
Climate control seats (P. 387, 388)
Select “AUTO” mode on each seat.
Seat heater, off, ventilation or seat cooler is automatically selected according to
the set temperature of the air conditio ning system, outside temperature, etc.
Heated steering wheel ( P. 385)
Turned on automatically accordin g to the outside temperature and
cabin temperature.
Operates for a maximum of 30 minutes.
Lexus Climate Concierge
The climate control seats on each seat and heated steering wheel are
automatically controlled according to the set temperature of the air
conditioning system, outside temperature, cabin temperature, etc.
Lexus Climate Concierge allows a comfortable condition to be main-
tained without adjusting each system.

mand system. For details, refer to

UAL”.
Press the “AUTO” switch or select “AUTO” on the operation screen.
The dehumidification function begins to operate. Air outlets and fan speed are
automatically adjusted according to the temperature setting and humidity.
Press to switch to automatic air intake mode.
The air conditioning system automatically switches between outside air and recir-
culated air modes.
Press or select on the operation screen to increase the
temperature and or on the operation screen to decrease
the temperature.
When “4-ZONE” is selected (the indicator will be on) or the passenger’s side
temperature control button is pressed, the temperature for the driver’s, front pas-
senger’s and rear seats ( P. 351) can be adjusted separately.
Air outlets for the driver and passen ger seats may be adjusted separately
depending on the temperature setting.
When the climate control seats are set to “AUTO” mode, the system is operated
automatically according to the set temperature, outside temperature, etc.
■Automatic mode indicator
If the fan speed setting or air flo w modes are operated, the automatic
mode indicator goes off. However, automatic mode for functions other
than that operated are maintained.

To adjust the fan speed, press or select on the operation
screen to increase the fan speed and or on the operation
screen to decrease the fan speed.
Press or select “OFF” on the oper ation screen to turn the fan off.
To adjust the temperature setting, press or select on the
operation screen to increase the temperature and or on
the operation screen to decrease the temperature.
The air conditioning system switches between individual and simultaneous modes
each time “4-ZONE” is selected.
When “4-ZONE” is selected (the indicator will be on) or the passenger’s side
temperature control button is pressed, the temperature for the driver’s, front pas-
senger’s and rear seats ( P. 351) can be adjusted separately.
When the climate control seats are set to “AUTO” mode, the system is operated
automatically according to the set temperature, outside temperature, etc.
To change the air outlets, press or select an air outlet
switch.

Select “REAR AUTO”.
The air conditioning system and air
purifier will operate, and air outlets
and speed will be set automatically.
The rear climate control seats are
operated automatically according
to the set temperature and the out-

Select to increase the temperature and to decrease the
temperature on the operation screen.
Air outlets for the right-hand and le ft-hand seats may be set separately
depending on the temperature setting.
When the rear climate control seats are set to “AUTO” mode, the system is
operated automatically according to the set temperature, outside tempera-
ture, etc.

To adjust the fan speed, select to increase the fan speed and
to decrease the fan speed.
According to the air outlets currently selected, the fan speed of either the cool
air from the roof vents or ai r purifier will be adjusted.
