Indicates that the automatic transmission fluid tempera-
ture is too highA buzzer also sounds.
 Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place, shift the
shift lever to P and wait until the warning message
and light go off. If the warning message and light go
off, you may start the vehicle again.
If the warning message and light do not go off, con-
tact your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the automatic transmission
system A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates that the moon roof is not fully closed (with the
engine switch off, and the driver’s door open)
A buzzer also sounds.
 Close the moon roof.
Indicates that engine oil level is low
A buzzer also sounds.
 Check the level of engine oil, and add if necessary.
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The LED headlight system;
• The automatic headlig ht leveling system; or
• The Automatic High Beam system (if equipped) A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates that the wash er fluid level is low
 Add washer fluid.

If the electronic key does not operate properly
Use the mechanical key (P. 9 1 ) i n
order to perform the following opera-
tions (driver’s door only):
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon roof

(turn and hold)
Unlocks the doors
Turning the key rearward unlocks the
driver’s door. Turning the key once again
unlocks the other doors.
Opens the windows and moon roof* (turn and hold)
*: These settings must be cust omized at your Lexus dealer.
If communication between the electronic key and vehicle is interrupted
( P. 113) or the electronic key ca nnot be used because the battery is
depleted, the smart access system with push-button start and wireless
remote control cannot be used. In such cases, the doors can be opened and
the engine can be started by following the procedure below.

When trouble arises
CAUTION
■When using the mechanical key and operating the power windows and moon roof
Operate the power window or moon roof afte r checking to make sure that there is no
possibility of any passenger having any of their body parts caught in the window or
moon roof.
Also, do not allow children to operate the mech anical key. It is possible for children and
other passengers to get caught in power window and moon roof.
