Warning lights and indicators
◆Instrument cluster
The units used on the speedometer and some indicators may differ depending on
the target region.
◆Center panel
The warning lights and indicators on the instrument cluster, center
panel and outside rear view mirrors inform the driver of the status of
the vehicle’s various systems.
For the purpose of explanation, the following illustration displays all
warning lights and indicators illuminated.

*1: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that
a system check is being performed. They will turn off after the hybrid system is on,
or after a few seconds. There may be a ma lfunction in a system if the lights do not
come on, or turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

*1: Refer to the “NAVIGATION AND MULTIMEDIA SYSTEM OWNER’SMANUAL”.
*2: These lights turn on when the power switch is turned to ON mode to indicate that
a system check is being performed. They will turn off after the hybrid system is on,
or after a few seconds. There may be a ma lfunction in a system if the lights do not
come on, or turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*3: The light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*4: The light comes on when the system is turned off. The light flashes faster than
usual to indicate that the system is operating.
*5: In order to confirm operation, the BSM ou tside rear view mirror indicators illumi-
nate in the following situations:
• When the power switch is turned to ON mode while the BSM main switch is set
to ON.
• When the BSM main switch is set to ON while the power switch is in ON mode.
If the system is functioning correctly, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators
will turn off after a few seconds.
If the BSM outside rear view mirror indicato rs do not illuminate or do not turn off,
there may be a malfunction with the system.
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

CAUTION
■If a safety system warning light does not come on
Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS warning light not come on
when you start the hybrid system, this co uld mean that these systems are not avail-
able to help protect you in an accident, wh ich could result in death or serious injury.
Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately if this occurs.

2. Instrument cluster
■System check display
After turning the power switch to ON mode, “SYSTEM CHECK” is displayed while
system operation is checked.
■Outside temperature display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or
the display may take longer than normal to change.
●When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 12 mph [20 km/h])
●When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a
garage, tunnel, etc.)
■Setting display automatic cancelation
In the following situations, setting display in which the settings can be changed
through the “DISP” button will automatically be turned off.
●When a warning message appears whil e the setting display is displayed
●When the vehicle begins to move while the setting display is displayed
■Tire inflation pressure (if equipped)
●It may take a few minutes to display the ti re inflation pressure after the power switch
is turned to ON mode. It may also take a few minutes to display the tire inflation
pressure after inflation pr essure has been adjusted.
●“---” may be displayed if the tire information cannot be determined due to unfavor-
able radio wave conditions.
●Tire inflation pressure changes with temperature. The displayed values may also be
different from the values measured using a tire pressure gauge.
■Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on th e display. This phenomenon is character-
istic of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to use the display.
■Customization

Driving
■When there is a malfunction in the system
Warning lights and/or warning message will turn on or flash. (P. 505, 518)
Depending on the condition, the parking brake indicator light may flash.
■Usage in winter time

NOTICE
■When parking the vehicle
Before you leave the vehicle, set the parking brake, shift the shift lever to P and
make sure that the vehicle does not move.
■When the system malfunctions
Stop the vehicle in a safe place and check the warning messages.
■When the parking brake cannot be released due to a malfunction
Use the parking brake release tool to manually release the parking brake.

Driving the vehicle with the parking brake set will lead to brake components over-
heating, which may affect braking performance and increase brake wear.

Brake Hold
Turns the brake hold system on
The brake hold standby indicator
(green) comes on. While the system is
holding the brake, the brake hold
operated indicator (yellow) comes on.
■Brake hold system operating conditions
The brake hold system cannot be turn ed on in the following conditions:
●The trunk or hood is not closed.
●The driver’s door is not closed.
●The driver is not wearing the seat belt.
If any of the conditions above are detected when the brake hold system is enabled,
the system will turn off and the brake hold standby indicator light will go off. In addi-
tion, if any of the conditions are detected while the system is holding the brake, a
warning buzzer will sound and a message wi ll be shown on the multi-information dis-
play. The parking brake will then be set automatically.
■Brake hold function
●If the brake pedal is left released for a period of about 3 minutes after the system
has started holding the brake, the parking brake will be set automatically. In this
case, a warning buzzer sounds and a message is shown on the multi-information
display.
●To turn the system off while the system is holding the brake, firmly depress the
brake pedal and press the button again.
●The brake hold function may not hold the vehicle when the vehicle is on a steep
incline. In this situation, it may be nece ssary for the driver to apply the brakes. The
multi-information display will info rm the driver of this situation.
The brake hold system keeps the brake applied when the shift lever is in
D, S or N with the system on and the brake pedal has been depressed to
stop the vehicle. The system releases the brake when the accelerator
pedal is depressed with the shift lever in D or S to allow smooth start off.
