■Engine oil consumption
A certain amount of engine oil will be consumed while driving. In the following situations,
oil consumption may increase, and engine oil may need to be refilled in between oil
maintenance intervals.
●When the engine is new, for example directly after purchasing the vehicle or after
replacing the engine
●If low quality oil or oil of an inappropriate viscosity is used
●When driving at high engine speeds or with a heavy load, when towing, or when driving
while accelerating or decelerating frequently
●When leaving the engine idling for a long time, or when driving frequently through
heavy traffic
■After changing the engine oil (GS350/GS200t)
The engine oil maintenance data should be reset. Perform the following procedures:
Press or of the meter control switch and select .
Press or of the meter control switch and select “Vehicle Settings”. Then press .
Press or of the meter control switch and select “Oil Maintenance”. Then press
.
Select the “Yes” and press .
A message is displayed on the multi-informa-
tion display.

■Used engine oil
●Used engine oil contains potentially harmful contaminants which may cause skin dis-
orders such as inflammation and skin cancer, so care should be taken to avoid pro-
longed and repeated contact. To remove used engine oil from your skin, wash
thoroughly with soap and water.
●Dispose of used oil and filters only in a safe and acceptable manner. Do not dispose of
used oil and filters in household trash, in sewers or onto the ground.
Call any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped
professional, service station or auto parts store for information concerning recycling
or disposal.
●Do not leave used engine oil within the reach of children.
NOTICE
■To prevent serious engine damage
Check the oil level on a regular basis.
■When replacing the engine oil
●Be careful not to spill engine oil on the vehicle components.
●Avoid overfilling, or the engine could be damaged.
●Check the oil level on the dipstick every time you refill the vehicle.
●Be sure the engine oil filler cap is properly tightened.

Indicates that engine oil level is low
This message may appear if the vehicle is stopped on a
slope. Move the vehicle to a level surface and check to
see if the message disappears.

→ Check the level of engine oil, and add if necessary.
Indicates a malfunction in:
• The AHS (Adaptive High-beam System) (if
equipped);
• The Automatic High Beam (if equipped);
• The AFS (Adaptive Fron t-lighting System) (if
equipped); or
•The LED headlight system
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Have the vehicle inspected by any authorized Lexus
dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
(If equipped)
Indicates a malfunction in the RSA (Road Sign Assist)

→Add washer fluid.
Indicates that remaining fuel is approximately 9.9 L
(2.6 gal., 2.2 Imp.gal.) or less
→Refuel the vehicle.
Indicates that the outside temperature is approximately
3°C (37 °F) or lower
A buzzer also sounds.
→ Drive carefully, as the road may be icy.
(GS350/GS200t only)
Indicates that the engine oil is scheduled to be changed
→ Check the engine oil and change if necessary. After
changing the engine oil, the oil change system
should be reset. ( →P. 4 5 5 )
(The indicator will not work properly unless the oil
maintenance data has been reset.)
(If equipped)
Indicates that the fuel in jectors require maintenance
soon
→ Have any authorized Lexus dealer or repairer, or
another duly qualified and equipped professional
replenish the injector cleaner to the fuel tank and
reset the message as necessary.
(GS350/GS200t only)
Indicates that the engine oil and oil filter should be
changed
→Have the engine oil and oil filter checked and/or
changed by any authorized Lexus dealer or
repairer, or another duly qualified and equipped
professional. After changing the engine oil, the oil
change system should be reset. ( →P. 4 5 5 )
