5If you do decide to pull a trailerHere are some important points if you
decide to pull a trailer:
 Consider using a sway control. You can
ask a towbar dealer about sway con-
trol.
 Do not do any towing with your car dur- ing its first 1,200 miles (2,000 km) in
order to allow the engine to properly
break in. Failure to heed this caution
may result in serious engine or
transaxle damage.
 When towing a trailer, we recommend that you consult a HYUNDAI autho-
rised repairer on additional require-
ments such as a towing kit, etc.
 Always drive your vehicle at a moderate speed (less than 60 mph (100 km/h)).
 On a long uphill grade, do not exceed 45 mph (70 km/h) or the posted towing
speed limit, whichever is lower.
 The chart contains important consider- ations that have to do with weight:

The Tyre Mobility Kit is a temporary
fix to the tyre and we recommend
that the system be inspected by a
HYUNDAI authorised repairer.Introduction
With the TyreMobilityKit you stay
mobile even after experiencing a tyre
puncture.
The system of compressor and seal-
ing compound effectively and com-
fortably seals most punctures in a
passenger car tyre caused by nails
or similar objects and reinflates the
tyre.
After you ensured that the tyre is
properly sealed you can drive cau-
tiously on the tyre (distance up to 120
miles (200 km)) at a max. speed of 50
mph (80 km/h) in order to reach a
service station or tyre dealer to have
the tyre replaced.

CAUTION
- One sealant for
one tyre
When two or more tyres are flat,do not use the tyre mobility kitbecause the supported onesealant of Tyre Mobility Kit isonly used for one flat tyre.
WARNING
- Tyre wall
Do not use the Tyre Mobility Kit

walls. This can result in an acci-
dent due to tyre failure.

8. With the engine start/stop buttonposition on or ignition switch posi-
tion on, switch on the compressor
and let it run for approximately 5~7
minutes to fill the sealant up to
proper pressure. (refer to the Tyre
and Wheels, chapter 8). The infla-
tion pressure of the tyre after filling
is unimportant and will be
checked/corrected later.
Be careful not to overinflate the
tyre and stay away from the tyre
when filling it. 9. Switch off the compressor.
10. Detach the hoses from the
sealant bottle connector and
from the tyre valve.
Return the TyreMobilityKit to its stor-
age location in the vehicle. Distributing the sealant

Do not leave your vehicle run-
ning in a poorly ventilated area

CAUTION
- Tyre pressure
Do not attempt to drive your vehicle if the tyre pressure isbelow 200kpa(29 PSI). Thiscould result in an accident dueto sudden tyre failure.
CAUTION
Do not exceed a speed of 80km/h (50 mph). If possible, donot fall below a speed of 20km/h (12 mph).
Whilst driving, if you experienceany unusual vibration, ride dis-turbance or noise, reduce yourspeed and drive with cautionuntil you can safely pull off ofthe side of the road.
Call for road side service or tow-ing. When you use the TyreMobility Kit, the tyre pressuresensors and wheel may be dam-aged by sealant, remove thesealant stained with tyre pres-sure sensors and wheel andinspect in authorized dealer.

CAUTION
- Tyre pressure
sensor
The sealant on the tyre pressuresensor and wheel should beremoved when you replace thetyre with a new one and inspectthe tyre pressure sensors inauthorised dealer.
Checking the tyre inflation pres-
sure
1. After driving approximately 4~6 miles (7~10 km or about 10 min),
stop at a safety location.
2. Connect connection hose (9) of the compressor directly to the tyre
valve.
3. Plug the compressor power cord into the vehicle power outlet.
4. Adjust the tyre inflation pressure to the recomended tyre inflation.
With the ignition switched on, pro-
ceed as follows.
- To increase the inflation pres- sure: Switch on the compressor,
position I. To check the current
inflation pressure setting, briefly
switch off the compressor.
✽ ✽ NOTICEThe pressure gauge may show high-
er than actual reading when the
compressor is running. To get an
accurate tyre reading, the compres-
sor needs to be turned off.- To reduce the inflation pres-
sure: Press the button 8 on the
compressor.
WARNING
Do not let the compressor run
for more than 10 minutes, other-
wise the device will overheat
and may be damaged.
CAUTION
If the inflation pressure is not maintained, drive the vehicle asecond time, refer toDistributing the sealant. Thenrepeat steps 1 to 4.
Use of the TMK may be ineffec-tual for tyre damage larger thanapproximately 4 mm (0.16 in).
We recommend that you contacta HYUNDAI authorised repairerif the tyre cannot be made road-worthy with the Tyre MobilityKit.
WARNING
The tyre inflation pressure must
be at least 220 kPa (32 psi). If it
is not, do not continue driving.

7Tyre rotation
To equalize tread wear, it is recom-
mended that the tyres be rotated
every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or
sooner if irregular wear develops.
During rotation, check the tyres for
correct balance.
When rotating tyres, check for
uneven wear and damage. Abnormal
wear is usually caused by incorrect
tyre pressure, improper wheel align-
ment, out-of-balance wheels, severe
braking or severe cornering. Look for
bumps or bulges in the tread or side
of tyre. Replace the tyre if you find
either of these conditions. Replace
the tyre if fabric or cord is visible.
After rotation, be sure to bring the
front and rear tyre pressures to spec-
ification and check lug nut tightness.
Refer to “Tyre and wheels” in section
8.
Disc brake pads should be inspected
for wear whenever tyres are rotated.✽ ✽ NOTICERotate radial tyres that have an
asymmetric tread pattern only from
front to rear and not from right to
left.
WARNING
 Do not use the compact spare
tyre for tyre rotation.
 Do not mix bias ply and radial ply tyres under any circum-
stances. This may cause
unusual handling characteris-
tics that could result in death,
severe injury, or property
damage.

Wheel alignment and tyre balance
The wheels on your vehicle were
aligned and balanced carefully at the
factory to give you the longest tyre
life and best overall performance.
In most cases, you will not need to
have your wheels aligned again.
However, if you notice unusual tyre
wear or your vehicle pulling one way
or the other, the alignment may need
to be reset.
If you notice your vehicle vibrating
when driving on a smooth road, your
wheels may need to be rebalanced.Tyre replacement
If the tyre is worn evenly, a tread
wear indicator will appear as a solid
band across the tread. This shows
there is less than 1.6 mm (1/16 in.) of
tread left on the tyre. Replace the
tyre when this happens.
Do not wait for the band to appear
across the entire tread before replac-
ing the tyre.
CAUTION
Improper wheel weights can
damage your vehicle's alumini-um wheels. Use only approvedwheel weights.

CAUTION
When replacing the tyres,recheck and tighten the wheelnuts after driving about 620miles (1,000 km). If the steeringwheel shakes or the vehiclevibrates whilst driving, the tyreis out of balance. Align the tyrebalance. If the problem is notsolved, we recommend that youcontact a HYUNDAI authorisedrepairer.

Low aspect ratio tyre (if equipped)
Low aspect ratio tyres, whose aspect
ratio is lower than 50, are provided
for sporty looks.
Because the low aspect ratio tyres
are optimized for handling and brak-
ing, it may be more uncomfortable to
ride in and there is more noise com-
pare with normal tyres.
CAUTION
Because the sidewall of the lowaspect ratio tyre is shorter thanthe normal, the wheel and tyreof the low aspect ratio tyre iseasier to be damaged. So, followthe instructions below.
- When driving on a rough road or off road, drive cautiouslybecause tyres and wheels maybe damaged. And after driving,inspect tyres and wheels.
- When passing over a pothole, speed bump, manhole, or kerbstone, drive slowly so that thetyres and wheels are not dam-aged.
- If the tyre is impacted, we rec- ommend that you inspect thetyre condition or contact aHYUNDAI authorised repairer.
- To prevent damage to the tyre, inspect the tyre condition andpressure every 1,800 miles(3,000 km).
CAUTION
 It is not easy to recognize the tyre damage with your owneyes. But if there is the slight-est hint of tyre damage, eventhough you cannot see thetyre damage with your owneyes, have the tyre checked orreplaced because the tyredamage may cause air leak-age from the tyre.
 If the tyre is damaged by driv- ing on a rough road, off road,pothole, manhole, or kerbstone, it will not be covered bythe warranty.
