lumbar support at the same time.

The mirror automatically reduces
the glare of headlamps from behind.
The dimming feature comes on
when the vehicle is started. See

Power Tilt and Telescope Steering
Wheel
To adjust the power tilt and
telescope steering wheel,
if equipped:
Press the control to move the
steering wheel up and down or
forward and rearward.
Do not adjust the steering wheel
while driving.

Throttle and Brake Pedal
Adjustment
If equipped, the position of the
throttle and brake pedals can be
changed.
The switch used to adjust the
pedals is to the left of the steering
wheel.
Press the switch to the left to move
the pedals closer to your body.
Press the switch to the right to move
the pedals away.See

The vehicle may have a memory
function, which lets pedal settings
be saved and recalled. See Memory
Seats on page 3-5.
Interior Lighting
Dome Lamps
There are dome lamps in the
overhead console and the headliner,
if equipped. To change the dome lamp settings,
press the following:
OFF:
Turns the lamps off, even
when a door is open.
DOOR: The lamps come on
automatically when a door is
opened.
ON: Turns all dome lamps on.
Reading Lamps
There are reading lamps in the
overhead console and the headliner,
if equipped. To operate, the ignition
must be in the ACC/ACCESSORY
or ON/RUN position or using
Retained Accessory Power (RAP).

Four-Wheel Drive
If the vehicle has four-wheel drive,
you can send the engine's driving
power to all four wheels for extra
traction.
Automatic Transfer Case
Two Speed Automatic
Transfer Case
The transfer case knob is to the left
of the steering wheel. Use this knob
to shift into and out of the different
four-wheel drive modes.

m: This setting is used for driving
in most street and highway
situations. AUTO:
This setting is ideal for use
when road surface traction
conditions are variable.

m: Use the Four-Wheel Drive
High position when extra traction is
needed, such as on snowy or icy
roads or in most off-road situations.

n: Vehicles with a two speed
automatic transfer case have a
Four-Wheel Drive Low position. This
setting sends maximum power to all
four wheels. You might choose 4
nif
you are driving off-road in deep
sand, mud, or snow, and while
climbing or descending steep hills.
N (Neutral): Shift the transfer case
to N (Neutral) only when towing the
vehicle. See Recreational Vehicle

.Tilt the top of the control forward
to raise.
{Warning
Sitting in a reclined position when
the vehicle is in motion can be
dangerous. Even when buckled
up, the safety belts cannot do
their job.
The shoulder belt will not be
against your body. Instead, it will
be in front of you. In a crash, you
could go into it, receiving neck or
other injuries.
The lap belt could go up over
your abdomen. The belt forces
would be there, not at your pelvic
bones. This could cause serious
internal injuries.
For proper protection when the
vehicle is in motion, have the
seatback upright. Then sit well
back in the seat and wear the
safety belt properly.
Do not have a seatback reclined if
the vehicle is moving.
Memory Seats
If equipped, the SET, "1," "2," andB(Exit) buttons on the driver door
are used to manually store and
recall memory settings for the driver
seat, outside mirrors, power tilt and
telescoping steering column, and
adjustable pedals.
