3. Remove the old battery.
4. Insert a new battery with the+facing
downward. Press the battery down to make
sure it is fully in the housing.
5. Snap the battery cover back onto the
transmitter and install the backup key.
Memory Feature (If Equipped)
The memory feature allows you to recall the driver seat, power mirrors,
power adjustable pedal and power steering column (if equipped) memory
positions.
Press the unlock button on the remote control or activate intelligent
access to recall memory. The mirrors and pedals will move to the
memory position and the seat and steering column will move to the easy
entry position (if you have switched on the easy entry feature). The seat
and column will move to the final position when you switch on the
ignition.
Programming Memory to the Remote Control
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. Move the memory features to the
desired positions using the
associated controls.
3. Press and hold memory button1,
located on the driver seat side, for
five seconds. A tone will sound in
about two seconds. Continue to hold
until you hear a second tone.
4. Press the lock button on the remote control within three seconds.
5. Repeat this procedure for another memory button and transmitter if
desired.

Power Tilt and Telescope Steering Column (If Equipped)
WARNING:Do not adjust the steering wheel when your vehicle
is moving.
Note:Make sure that you are sitting in the correct position. Refer to

Use the control on the side of the
steering column to adjust the
position.
To adjust:
•tilt: press the top or bottom of the
control.
•telescope: press the front or rear
of the control.
Easy Entry and Exit Feature
When you switch the ignition off, the steering column will move to the
full up and forward position to allow extra room to exit your vehicle. The
column will return to the previous setting when you switch on the
ignition. You can enable or disable this feature in the information display.

Memory Feature
You can save and recall the steering column position with the memory
function. Refer to theSeatschapter.
Pressing the adjustment control during memory recall cancels the
operation. The column responds to the adjustment control.
The steering column sets a stopping position just short of the end of the
column position to prevent damage to the steering column. A new
stopping position sets if the steering column encounters an object when
tilting or telescoping.

ADJUSTABLE PEDALS (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING:Never adjust the accelerator and brake pedal with
feet on the pedals while the vehicle is moving.
The control is located on the left side of the steering column. Press and
hold the appropriate control to move the pedals.

Press the button to fold the mirrors
in or out.
A mirror may also be manually folded by pulling it toward the door
window glass. This may cause the mirror to appear loose and it will need
to be re-synchronized. Press the button to fold the mirrors in. A click
will be heard indicating re-synchronization. If the click is not heard, use
the button to fold the mirrors out, then in again. Once the click is heard
the mirrors will operate normally until they are again manually folded.
Heated Exterior Mirror (If Equipped)
The heated exterior mirrors switch on with the heated rear window. See
Heated Windows and Mirrorsin theClimate Controlchapter.
Memory Mirrors (If Equipped)
You can save and recall the mirror positions through the memory
function. SeeMemory functionin theSeatschapter.
Signal Indicator Mirrors (If Equipped)
The outer portion of the appropriate mirror housing blinks when you
activate the turn signal.

MEMORY FUNCTION (IF EQUIPPED)
This memory control, located on the
driver door, allows automatic
positioning of the driver seat and
power mirrors to three
programmable positions. You may
also have this feature for the
steering column and power
adjustable foot pedals.
Programming a memory position
1. Switch the ignition on.
2. Adjust the memory features to your desired positions using the
associated controls.
3. Press and hold the desired pre-set button for about two seconds until
you hear a single tone.
Note:You can save up to three pre-set memory positions.
Recalling a memory position
Press and release the desired memory pre-set button to recall a saved
memory position.
Note:A pre-set memory position can only be recalled when the ignition
is off, or when the transmission is in park (P) or neutral (N) if the
ignition is on.
A pre-set memory position can also be recalled by:
•Pressing the unlock button on your intelligent access key fob if it is
linked to a pre-set position.
•Unlocking the intelligent driver door handle if a linked key fob is
present.
•Entering a personal entry code on the Securicode keypad. SeeLocks.
Note:Using a linked key fob to recall your memory position when the
ignition is off will move the seat and steering column to the Easy Entry
position (if the feature is enabled).
Note:Pressing any seat or mirror adjustment control (or any memory
button) during a memory recall cancels the operation.
