WARNING
Head restraints must be adjusted so that
the head, rather than the neck, rests on
them. Only when they are adjusted in this
manner can they serve their intended purpose.WARNING
To take best advantage of the protection
provided by the head restraint , adjust
the seat backrest so that you are sitting up
straight and your head is as close to the head
restraint as possible. REAR
The car is equipped with two head restraints for the
side seats and on some versions a head restraint is
also provided for the central seat.
To extract the head restraints, raise them until you
hear the click (which indicates they are in the
position of use, 'fully raised').
To bring them back to the position of non-use, press
button A fig. 19 and push them down into the
backrest.
IMPORTANT If the rear seats are used, always set
the head restraints in the "fully raised" position.

compartment and cooled drinks compartment
are located inside the armrest (for versions/markets,
where provided) (see following paragraphs).
The armrest can be adjusted lengthwise through the

HEADLIGHTSLIGHT BEAM DIRECTION
The correct aiming of the headlights is important for
the comfort and safety of not only the driver but
all other road users. This is also covered by a specific
rule of the highway code.
The headlights must be correctly aligned to
guarantee the best visibility conditions for all drivers
while travelling with headlights on.
Contact a Fiat Dealership to have the lights checked
and adjusted, if necessary.
IMPORTANT When the gas discharge (Xenon)
headlamps (for versions/markets, where provided)
are switched on, normally parabolas and light beam
move vertically for about 2 seconds until headlamp
alignment has stabilised.
HEADLIGHT ALIGNMENT CORRECTOR
This device works with the ignition key in the
MAR-ON position and the dipped beam headlights
on.
The car will tilt backwards when it is loaded, raising
the light beam. The beams must therefore be
realigned in this case.
Adjusting headlights alignment
For adjusting, press buttons
and
fig. 88 on
the dashboard. Press button
to increase the light beam of one
position.
Press buttonto decrease the light beam of one

The display shows the position while adjusting.

SEAT BELTSUSING THE SEAT BELTS
The seat belt should be worn keeping the torso
straight and rested against the backrest.
To fasten the seat belts, hold the tongue A fig. 98
and insert it into the buckle B, until it clicks into
place.
If the seat belt jams during removal, let it rewind for
a short stretch, then pull it out again without jerking.
To unfasten the seat belt, press button C. Guide
the seat belt with your hand while it is rewinding, to
prevent it from twisting.Through the retractor, the seat belt automatically
adapts to the body of the occupant wearing it,
allowing freedom of movement.
The reel may lock when the car is parked on a steep
slope: this is perfectly normal. Furthermore, the
reel mechanism locks the belt if it is pulled sharply or
in the event of sudden braking, collisions and
high-speed bends.
The rear seat is fitted with inertia seat belts with
three anchor points and a reel for the side seats and
the middle one.
Wear the rear seat belts as shown in fig. 99.

WARNING
Never press button C fig. 98 when
travelling.
IMPORTANT The backrest is correctly secured when
the red band B fig. 100 to the side of backrest
folding handle A disappears. This red band indicates
that the backrest is not secured.
IMPORTANT Remember that after a violent impact,
rear-seat passengers who are not wearing their
seat belts not only expose themselves to significant
risk of injury, but also represent a danger to
passengers occupying the front seats.
IMPORTANT When putting the rear seat back in its
normal position, make sure that the seat belts are
positioned so that they are ready to use.
WARNING
Make sure that the backrest is correctly
secured on both sides (red bands B
fig. 100 not visible) to prevent it from moving
forward in the event of sharp braking, causing
injuries to passengers.
ADJUSTING THE FRONT SEAT BELT
HEIGHT
(for versions/markets, where provided)
Four different adjustments in height are possible.
To adjust, press button A fig. 101 and raise or lower
handle B.
Always adjust the height of the seat belts to fit the
person wearing it: this precaution could greatly
reduce the risk of injury in the event of collision.
