Diesel engines
Quality of the fuel used for Diesel engines
The Diesel engines are perfectly compatible with biofuels which conform \
to current and future European standards (Diesel fuel which
complies with standard EN 590 mixed with a biofuel which complies with s\
tandard EN 14214) available at the pumps (containing up to
5% Fatty Acid Methyl Ester).
The B30 biofuel can be used in certain Diesel engines; however, this use is subject to strict application of the special servicing con\
ditions
given in the maintenance and warranty guide. Contact a CITROËN dealer\
or a qualified workshop.
The use of any other type of (bio)fuel (vegetable or animal oils, pur\
e or diluted, domestic fuel...) is strictly prohibited (risk of damage to the
engine and fuel system). ENGINES AND GEARBOXES

Vehicle identification
IDENTIFICATION MARKINGS
A. Manufacturer's plate
1 - VF Type serial number.
2 - Gross vehicle weight (GVW).
3 - Gross train weight (GTW).
4.1 - Maximum weight on front axle.
4.2 - Maximum weight on rear axle.
B. Serial number behind the windscreen
E. Serial number on the bodywork
This number is located under the plastic
cover, at the foot board on the right hand
side.
C. Tyres
This label (image given as an indication
only) affixed to the vehicle's door pillar, on
the driver's side, indicates:
- the tyre sizes,
- the tyre pressures, unladen and laden
- the tyre pressure for the spare wheel.
The pressures must be checked when
cold, at least once a month.

TOWBAR WITH QUICKLY
DETACHABLE TOW BALL
Presentation
This tow ball can be fitted and removed
quickly and easily without the use of tools. For information on the maximum
trailer weight and the recommended
nose weight, refer to the "Technical data -
Weights" section.
For information on safely towing a trailer,
refer to the "Accessories - Towing a trailer"
section.
1. Carrier
2. Connector socket.
3. Safety eye.
4. Detachable tow ball.
5. Locking / unlocking wheel.
6. Key lock.
7. Key reference label. A. Locked position; the locking wheel is in
contact with tow ball (no gap).
B. Unlocked position; the locking wheel and tow ball are no longer in contact
(gap of about 5 mm). Before each use
Check that the tow ball is correctly
locked and verify the following points:
- the green mark on the locking wheel is in line with the green mark on the tow
ball,
- the locking wheel is in contact with the tow ball,
- the key lock is on and the key removed; the locking wheel can no longer be
operated,
- the tow ball must no longer move at all in its carrier; try to shake it by hand.
During use
Never unlock the device when a trailer or
load carrier is fitted to the tow ball.
Never exceed the maximum authorised
weight for the vehicle plus trailer (Gross
Train Weight - GTW).
Observe the legislation in force in the
country in which you are driving. After use
For journeys made without a trailer or
load carrier, the tow ball must be removed
and the blanking plug inserted in the carrier.
This measure applies particularly if the tow
ball could hinder visibility of the number
plate or lighting.
