Automatic Transfer Case
This transfer case knob is to the left
of the steering column.
The different drive options that may
be available are described following.

m(Two-Wheel Drive High):This
setting is used for driving in most
street and highway situations.
AUTO (Automatic Four-Wheel
Drive): This setting is ideal for use
when road surface traction
conditions are variable. Do not use AUTO mode to park on
a steep grade with poor traction
such as ice, snow, mud or gravel. In
AUTO mode only the rear wheels
will hold the vehicle from sliding
when parked. If parking on a steep
grade, use 4
mto keep all four
wheels engaged.

m(Four-Wheel Drive High): Use
this setting when extra traction is
needed, such as on snowy or icy
roads or in most off-road situations.
N (Neutral): Shift to this setting
only when towing the vehicle. See
Recreational Vehicle Towing on
page 10-95 orTrailer Towing on
page 9-76.

n(Four-Wheel Drive Low): This
setting sends maximum power to all
four wheels. Choose 4
nwhen
driving in deep sand, mud, or snow,
and while climbing or descending
steep hills.

The base radio and base radio with
connectivity information is included
in this manual. See the infotainment
manual for information on the
uplevel radios, audio players,
phone, navigation system, Rear
Seat Entertainment (RSE), and

Radio(s)

: Press to turn the system on.
Press and hold to turn it off. When
on, press to mute; press again to
unmute. Turn to increase or
decrease the volume.
RADIO: Press to choose between
FM, AM, and SiriusXM
®,
if equipped.

Cluster Menu (Uplevel Cluster)
There is an interactive display area
in the center of the instrument
cluster.
Use the right steering wheel control
to open and scroll through the
different items and displays.Press

through the list of available
applications. Not all applications will
be available on all vehicles.
.Info App. This is where the
selected Driver Information
Center (DIC) displays can be
viewed. See “Driver Information
Center (DIC) (Uplevel)” in the

Audio
Press
Vto select the Audio app,
then press
pto enter the Audio
menu. In the Audio menu browse for
music, select from the favorites,
or change the audio source. In the
main view, use
worxto change
the station or go to the next or
previous track. Phone
Press
Vto select the Phone app,
then press
pto enter the Phone
menu. In the Phone menu, if there is
no active phone call, view recent
calls, scroll through contacts, select
from the favorites, or change the
phone source. If there is an active
call, mute the phone or switch to
handset operation.
Navigation
Press
Vto select the Navigation
app, then press
pto enter the
Navigation menu. If there is no
active route, you can resume the
last route and turn the voice
prompts on/off. If there is an active
route, you can cancel the route.
Settings
Press
Vto select the Settings app.

worxto scroll through items
in the Settings menu.

To reset the timer to zero, press and
hold
Vwhile this display is active,
or press
pand select reset.
Speed Limit (If Equipped): Shows
sign information, which comes from
a roadway database in the onboard
navigation.
Engine Hours: Shows the total
number of hours the engine has run.
Transmission Fluid
Temperature: Shows the
temperature of the automatic
transmission fluid in either degrees
Celsius (°C) or degrees
Fahrenheit (°F).
Trailer Brake (If Equipped): On
vehicles with the Integrated Trailer
Brake Control (ITBC) system, the
trailer brake display appears in
the DIC. TRAILER GAIN shows the trailer
gain setting. This setting can be
adjusted from 0.0 to 10.0 with either
a trailer connected or disconnected.
OUTPUT shows the power output to
the trailer anytime a trailer with
electric brakes is connected. Output
is displayed as a bar graph. Dashes
may appear in the OUTPUT display
if a trailer is not connected.
Off Road:
Displays vehicle pitch
and roll information, road wheel
angle, and four-wheel drive (4WD)
status.
Blank Page: Shows no
information.
Vehicle Messages
Messages displayed on the DIC
indicate the status of the vehicle or
some action that may be needed to
correct a condition. Multiple
messages may appear one after
another.
The messages that do not require
immediate action can be
acknowledged and cleared by
pressing
Vor the trip odometer
reset stem on the base cluster.
The messages that require
immediate action cannot be cleared
until that action is performed.
All messages should be taken
seriously and clearing the message
does not correct the problem.
The following are the possible
messages and some information
about them.

Setting Radio Preferences
Select the SETTINGS screen icon
to display the Settings menu and
the following may display:
Time and Date: SeeClock on
page 5-5.
Language (Current Language):
This will set the display language in
the radio and instrument cluster.
Select to display a list of languages.
Select
oBACK to go back to the
previous menu.
Valet Mode:
Using the circular numeric keypad,
enter a four-digit code:
1. Turn the MENU knob to highlight a number.
2. Press the MENU knob to select it. Do this for each one of the
four digits. Select Enter to go to
the confirmation screen.
3. Re-enter the four-digit code. Select LOCK to lock the system. 4. Enter the four-digit code to
unlock the system.
Select
oBACK to go back to
the previous menu.
Radio: See“Radio Setup” later in
this section.
Vehicle: SeeVehicle

Display: Press the MENU knob to
turn the display on or off.
Return to Factory Settings: See

To play music via Bluetooth:
1. Power on the device, and pair toconnect the device.
2. Once paired, go into the audio application from the Home Page
or via the application tray. Select
MEDIA until Bluetooth displays.
Bluetooth Audio Menu
Press the MENU screen button to
display the Bluetooth Audio menu.
The following may be available:
Tone: Turn the MENU knob to
adjust the tone settings.
Press
oBACK to go back to the
previous menu. Manage Bluetooth Devices:
Select
to go to the Bluetooth page to add
or delete devices.
When selecting Bluetooth Audio, the
radio may not be able to launch the
audio player on the connected
device to start playing. When the
vehicle is not moving, use the
phone to begin playback.
All devices launch audio differently.
When selecting Bluetooth Audio as
a source, the radio may show as
paused on the screen. Press play
on the device or press
rto begin
playback.
Some phones support sending
Bluetooth music information to
display on the radio. When the radio
receives this information, it will
check to see if any is available and
display it. For more information
about supported Bluetooth features,
see www.gm.com/bluetooth.
OnStar System
An OnStar®subscriber has the
ability to connect to the OnStar
system (if equipped) and ask an
OnStar Advisor to download a
destination into the vehicle. OnStar
will send address information and
location coordinates of the
destination into the vehicle.
To access from the Home Page,
turn the MENU knob to highlight the
OnStar icon. Press the MENU knob
to access.
Press the button below the MUTE
screen button to mute the
navigation directions. The
previous audio selection will play.

The MUTE screen button will
change to UNMUTE. Press the
button below UNMUTE to enable
the navigation directions again.
OnStar Turn-by-Turn Navigation
Press the MENU knob to go to the
Turn-by-Turn menu.
The following options are available:
.Update Route: only shows if the
vehicle is off the route
.Cancel Route
.My Destination
.Route Preview
.Repeat
When the system is downloading a
route, the only option available is
Cancel Route. Once the route is
downloaded, the additional list items
display.
My Destination
If My Destination is selected, a
special version of the Maneuver
View displays. The Destination
Address is shown in the Street
Name field and the total distance to
the destination is shown in the
Distance to Maneuver View. Press
the button below the DONE screen
button to return to the
Maneuver View. Route Preview
.If Route Preview is selected, a
special version of the Maneuver
View displays.
.Press the button below the
NEXT screen button to display
the next maneuver information,
including distance between it
and the previous maneuver.
.Press the button below the
PREV screen button to display
the previous maneuver
information, including distance
between it and the previous

activities divert your attention away

To avoid distracted driving, always
keep your eyes on the road, hands
on the wheel, and mind on the drive.
.Do not use a phone in
demanding driving situations.
Use a hands-free method to
place or receive necessary
phone calls.
.Watch the road. Do not read,
take notes, or look up
information on phones or other
electronic devices.
.Designate a front seat
passenger to handle potential
distractions.
.Become familiar with vehicle
features before driving, such as
programming favorite radio
stations and adjusting climate
control and seat settings.
Program all trip information into
any navigation device prior to
driving.
.Wait until the vehicle is parked
to retrieve items that have fallen
to the floor.
.Stop or park the vehicle to tend
to children.
.Keep pets in an appropriate
carrier or restraint.
.Avoid stressful conversations
while driving, whether with a
passenger or on a cell phone.
