Transmission
Electronic Range Select
(ERS) Mode
ERS or manual mode allows for the
selection of the range of gear
positions. Use this mode when
driving downhill or towing a trailer to
limit the top gear and vehicle speed.
To use this feature:
1. Move the shift lever to
M (Manual Mode).
2. Press the plus/minus button on the shift lever to increase or
decrease the gear range
available.
See Manual Mode on page 9-28.
Fuel Economy Mode
Vehicles with a 2.4L engine have a
Fuel Economy Mode. When
engaged, Fuel Economy Mode can
improve the vehicle's fuel economy.
Press the eco (economy) button to
turn this feature on or off. The eco
light in the instrument cluster will
come on when engaged, and a
Driver Information Center (DIC)
message displays. See Fuel
Economy Mode on page 9-29.

Infotainment System
The base radio information is
included in this manual. See the
infotainment manual for information
on the uplevel radios, audio players,
phone, navigation system, and
voice or speech recognition. There
is also information on settings and
downloadable applications (if
equipped).
Radio(s)
VOL/O: Press to turn the system
on and off. Turn to increase or
decrease the volume.
RADIO/BAND: Press to choose
between AM, FM, XM (if equipped),
CD, and AUX.
MENU/SEL: Turn to select radio
stations.
Press to show available information
about the current station or track.

Portable Audio Devices
Some vehicles have a 3.5 mm
(1/8 in) auxiliary input and a USB
port in the center console. External
devices such as iPods
®, laptop
computers, MP3 players, CD
changers, and USB drives may be
connected, depending on the audio
system.
See Auxiliary Devices on page 7-16.
Bluetooth®
The Bluetooth®system allows users
with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile
phone to make and receive
hands-free calls using the vehicle
audio system and controls.
The Bluetooth-enabled mobile
phone must be paired with the
in-vehicle Bluetooth system before it
can be used in the vehicle. Not all
phones will support all functions. See
Bluetooth (Infotainment
Controls) on page 7-22 orBluetooth
(Voice Recognition) on page 7-26 or
Bluetooth (Overview) on page 7-21.
Steering Wheel Controls
Some audio steering wheel controls
can be adjusted at the steering
wheel.
b/g: Press to interact with the
available Bluetooth or OnStar
systems, if equipped.
>/i: Press to silence the
vehicle speakers only. Press again
to turn the sound on. For vehicles
with OnStar or Bluetooth systems,
press to reject an incoming call,
or end a current call.
_SRC^: Press to select an audio
source.

or previous favorite radio station,
CD, or MP3 track.
+ VOL −:Press + to increase the

Steering Wheel
Adjustment
To adjust the steering wheel:
1. Pull the lever down.
2. Move the steering wheel up
or down.
3. Pull or push the steering wheel closer or away from you.
4. Pull the lever up to lock the steering wheel in place. Do not adjust the steering wheel
while driving.

Pressaon the steering wheel pad
to sound the horn.
Windshield Wiper/Washer
The windshield wiper/washer lever
is located on the right side of the
steering column. With the ignition in
ACC/ACCESSORY or ON/RUN/
START, move the windshield wiper
lever to select the wiper speed.
HI: Use for fast wipes.
LO: Use for slow wipes.
INT (Intermittent Wipes): Move
the lever up to INT for intermittent
wipes, then turn the
3INT band
up for more frequent wipes or down
for less frequent wipes.
OFF: Use to turn the wipers off.
1X (Mist): For a single wipe, briefly
move the wiper lever down. For
several wipes, hold the wiper
lever down.
n LFRONT (Windshield
Washer): Pull the windshield wiper
lever toward you to spray windshield
washer fluid and activate the wipers.
The wipers will continue until the
lever is released or the maximum
wash time is reached. When the
windshield wiper lever is released,
additional wipes may occur
depending on how long the
windshield washer had been
activated. See Washer Fluid on
page 10-20 for information on filling
the windshield washer fluid
reservoir.
{Warning
In freezing weather, do not use
the washer until the windshield is
warmed. Otherwise the washer
fluid can form ice on the
windshield, blocking your vision.

Auto Volume
This feature adjusts the volume to
minimize the effects of unwanted
background noise that can result
from changing road surfaces, driving
speeds, or open windows. This
feature works best at lower volume
settings where background noise is
typically louder than the sound
system volume.
Select Off, Low, Medium, or High.
Gracenote Options
Select and the following may
display:
.Normalization Normalization
This feature improves voice
recognition and media groupings.

Select to enable or disable.
XM Channel Art
This feature turns the XM Audio
page background on the XM
Channel display on and off.
Select to enable or disable.
Max Startup Volume or Maximum
Startup Volume
This feature sets the maximum
startup volume. If the vehicle is
started and the volume is greater
than this level, the volume is
adjusted to this level.
Press + or −to increase or
decrease the volume. Number of Favorites Pages or
Radio Favorites
Press to set the number of favorites
to display.
Select the desired number.
RDS Options
Select and the following may
display:

.Text Scroll Freeze

RDS
Select to turn RDS on or off. See
“RDS (Radio Data System)” in
AM-FM Radio on page 7-8.
Text Scroll Freeze
When on, this allows the RDS Text
to scroll across the radio screen.
