Transmission
Electronic Range Select
(ERS) Mode
ERS or manual mode allows for the
selection of the range of gear
positions. Use this mode when
driving downhill or towing a trailer to
limit the top gear and vehicle speed.
To use this feature:
1. Move the shift lever to
M (Manual Mode).
2. Press the plus/minus button on the shift lever to increase or
decrease the gear range
available.
See Manual Mode on page 9-28.
Fuel Economy Mode
Vehicles with a 2.4L engine have a
Fuel Economy Mode. When
engaged, Fuel Economy Mode can
improve the vehicle's fuel economy.
Press the eco (economy) button to
turn this feature on or off. The eco
light in the instrument cluster will
come on when engaged, and a
Driver Information Center (DIC)
message displays. See Fuel
Economy Mode on page 9-29.

The base radio information is
included in this manual. See the
infotainment manual for information
on the uplevel radios, audio players,
phone, navigation system, and
voice or speech recognition. There
is also information on settings and
downloadable applications (if
equipped).
Radio(s)
VOL/O: Press to turn the system
on and off. Turn to increase or
decrease the volume.
RADIO/BAND: Press to choose
between AM, FM, XM (if equipped),
CD, and AUX.
MENU/SEL: Turn to select radio
stations.
Press to show available information
about the current station or track.

Portable Audio Devices
Some vehicles have a 3.5 mm
(1/8 in) auxiliary input and a USB
port in the center console. External
devices such as iPods
®, laptop
computers, MP3 players, CD
changers, and USB drives may be
connected, depending on the audio
system.
See Auxiliary Devices on page 7-16.
Bluetooth®
The Bluetooth®system allows users
with a Bluetooth-enabled mobile
phone to make and receive
hands-free calls using the vehicle
audio system and controls.
The Bluetooth-enabled mobile
phone must be paired with the
in-vehicle Bluetooth system before it
can be used in the vehicle. Not all
phones will support all functions. See
Bluetooth (Infotainment
Controls) on page 7-22 orBluetooth
(Voice Recognition) on page 7-26 or
Bluetooth (Overview) on page 7-21.
Steering Wheel Controls
Some audio steering wheel controls
can be adjusted at the steering
wheel.
b/g: Press to interact with the
available Bluetooth or OnStar
systems, if equipped.
>/i: Press to silence the
vehicle speakers only. Press again
to turn the sound on. For vehicles
with OnStar or Bluetooth systems,
press to reject an incoming call,
or end a current call.
_SRC^: Press to select an audio
source.
Toggle up or down to select the next
or previous favorite radio station,
CD, or MP3 track.
+ VOL −:Press + to increase the
volume; press −to decrease the
volume.

Center Console Storage
There is storage in the center
console; lift the lever on the front to
open. There may be a USB port and
auxiliary input jack inside.
Additional Storage
Features
Cargo Cover
For vehicles with a cargo cover, use
it to cover items in the rear of the
vehicle.
To remove the cover from the
vehicle, pull both ends toward each
other. To reinstall, place each end of
the cover in the holes behind the
rear seat.
Cargo Tie-Downs
The vehicle may be equipped with
four cargo tie-downs located in the
rear compartment.
Convenience Net
This vehicle may have a
convenience net located in the rear
of the vehicle. Attach it to the cargo
tie‐downs for storing small loads.
Do not use the net to store heavy
loads.

Auto Volume
This feature adjusts the volume to
minimize the effects of unwanted
background noise that can result
from changing road surfaces, driving
speeds, or open windows. This
feature works best at lower volume
settings where background noise is
typically louder than the sound
system volume.
Select Off, Low, Medium, or High.
Gracenote Options
Select and the following may
display:
.Normalization Normalization
This feature improves voice
recognition and media groupings.

Select to enable or disable.
XM Channel Art
This feature turns the XM Audio
page background on the XM
Channel display on and off.
Select to enable or disable.
Max Startup Volume or Maximum
Startup Volume
This feature sets the maximum
startup volume. If the vehicle is
started and the volume is greater
than this level, the volume is
adjusted to this level.
Press + or −to increase or
decrease the volume. Number of Favorites Pages or
Radio Favorites
Press to set the number of favorites
to display.
Select the desired number.
RDS Options
Select and the following may
display:

Select to turn RDS on or off. See

Text Scroll Freeze
When on, this allows the RDS Text
to scroll across the radio screen.

Operation
Controls
The infotainment system is operated
by using the pushbuttons,
multifunction knobs, display menus,
and steering wheel controls,
if equipped.
Turning the System On or Off
VOL/O(Volume/Power):Press to
turn the system on and off.
Automatic Switch-Off
If the infotainment system has been
turned on after the ignition is turned
off, the system will turn off
automatically after 10 minutes.
Volume Control
VOL/O(Volume/Power): Turn to
adjust the volume.
MENU/SEL: Turn to select radio
stations.
Press to show available information
about the current station or track.
5/?(Mute): For vehicles with
OnStar, press and hold
5/?to
mute the infotainment system. Press

Controls
The MENU/SEL knob and the

BACK button are used to navigate
the menu system. MENU/SEL (Menu/Select):
Press to:
.Enter the menu system.
.Select or activate the highlighted
menu option.
.Confirm a set value.
.Turn a system setting on or off.
Turn to:
.Highlight a menu option.
.Select a value.
EBACK: Press to:
.Exit a menu.
.Return from a submenu screen
to the previous menu screen.
.Delete the last character in a
sequence.
RADIO/BAND: Press to:
.Display the menu for AM, FM,
XM (if equipped), CD, or AUX.

Radio
AM-FM Radio
Control Buttons
The buttons used to control the
radio are:
RADIO/BAND:Press to turn the
radio on and choose between AM,
FM, SiriusXM
®, if equipped, CD,
or AUX.
MENU/SEL: Turn to manually
search for stations.
FAV: Press to open the
favorites list.
lSEEK orgSEEK: Press to
search for stations. Press and hold
to scan for stations.
k: Press to pause the CD.
1 to 6: Press to select preset
stations.
RDS (Radio Data System)
The radio may have RDS. The RDS
feature is available for use only on
FM stations that broadcast RDS
information. This feature only works
when the information from the radio
station is available. In rare cases, a
radio station could broadcast
incorrect information that causes the
radio features to work improperly.
If this happens, contact the radio
station.
While the radio is tuned to an
FM-RDS station, the station name
or call letters display.
Radio Menus
Radio menus are available for AM
and FM.
Press the MENU/SEL knob to open
the main radio menu for that band.
Selecting a Band
Press the RADIO/BAND button to
choose AM, FM, or SiriusXM,
if equipped. The last station that
was playing starts playing again.
Selecting a Station
Seek Tuning
If the radio station is not known:
Briefly press
gSEEK orlSEEK,
to automatically search for the next
available station. If a station is not
found, the radio switches to a more
sensitive search level. If a station
still is not found, the frequency that
was last active begins to play.
If the radio station is known:
Press and hold
gSEEK orl
SEEK until the station on the
display is reached, then release the
button.
Manual Tuning
Turn the MENU/SEL knob to select
the frequency on the display.
Favorites List
1. Press the MENU/SEL knob.
2. Select Favorites List.
3. Select the station.
