features of your car and use it in the best possible way. You should read it right through before taking to the road for the first time.
You will find information, tips and important warnings regarding the driving of your car to help you derive the maximum from your Alfa Romeo's
technological features. It also provides a description of special features and essential information for the care and maintenance of your Alfa
Romeo over time as well as for safe driving.
We urge you to read the warnings and indications found throughout the text with care, marked with the following symbols:

NOTE These symbols, when necessary, are reported at the end of each paragraph and are followed by a number. That number recalls the
corresponding warning at the end of the relevant section.

This Owner Handbook describes all versions of the Alfa Romeo 4C; please consider only the information relevant to your
car’s trim level, engine and version. All data contained in this publication is purely indicative. Fiat Group Automobiles can
modify the specifications of the vehicle model described in this publication at any time, for technical or marketing
purposes. For further information, contact the dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership.

The car also has a connector, which
can interface with appropriate tools,
that makes it possible to read the error
codes stored in the electronic control
units together with a series of specific
parameters for engine operation and
diagnosis. This check can also be
carried out by the traffic control
authorities.
IMPORTANT After eliminating a fault, to
check the system completely, the
dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership is
obliged to run tests and, if necessary,
road tests which may also require a
long journey.RADIO SYSTEM
(for versions/markets, where provided)
The radio system consists of:
❒supply cables for radio, speakers and
aerial;
❒radio;
❒aerial on front bumper;
❒No. 2 tweeter speakers with 38 mm
diameter and No. 2 mid-woofer
speakers with 130 mm diameter,
fitted on the doors.

If after purchasing the car, you decide
to install electrical accessories that
require a permanent electric supply
(radio, satellite anti-theft system, etc.) or
accessories that in any case burden
the electric supply, contact the
dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership ,
whose qualified personnel, besides
suggesting the most suitable devices
from Lineaccessori Alfa Romeo, will
also check whether the car's electrical
system is able to withstand the load
required, or whether it needs to be
integrated with a more powerful battery.

TPMS (Tyre
Pressure
Monitoring System)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
DESCRIPTION
The tyre pressure monitoring system
(TPMS) warns the driver of low tyre
pressure on the basis of the cold
inflation pressure prescribed for the car.
Changes in outside temperature may
cause tyre pressure to vary. This means
that a decrease in the outside
temperature corresponds to a decrease
in the tyre pressure.
Tyre pressure must always be adjusted
according to the cold inflation pressure.
Cold tyre inflation pressure is the tyre
pressure after letting the car at a
standstill for at least three hours or a
travel shorter than 1.6 km after an
interval of three hours.
The cold tyre inflation pressure must
not exceed the maximum inflation
pressure value printed on the side of
the tyre.
The tyre pressure also increases while
driving the car: this is a normal
condition and does not require any
adjustment of the pressure.The TPMS continues to advise the
driver of the low tyre pressure condition
until this is corrected; the warning
continues until the pressure
corresponds or exceeds the pressure
prescribed for the cold tyres. When the
tyre low pressure control warning
light
switches on constantly, the
inflation pressure must be adjusted until
it reaches the pressure prescribed for
cold tyres. After the automatic update
of the system, the tyre pressure control
warning light switches off. You may
need to drive the car for about 20
minutes at a speed higher than 20
km/h to allow the TPMS to receive this
information.
NOTE
❒The TPMS does not replace the
normal tyre maintenance service and
does not indicate any fault in a tyre.
❒Therefore, the TPMS should not be
used as pressure switch while
adjusting the tyre inflation pressure.
❒Driving with insufficient tyre pressure
causes their overheating and can
result in tyre failure. The low inflation
pressure reduces fuel efficiency
and tyre tread life and may also affect
handling and braking performance
of the car.❒The TPMS does not replace the
correct tyre maintenance. It is up to
the driver to maintain the correct tyre
pressure level measuring it with a
suitable pressure switch. This is
necessary even if the decrease in the
inflation pressure value does not
cause the tyre pressure control
warning light to switch on.
❒The TPMS warns the driver of any
condition of insufficient tyre pressure
If this drops below the insufficient
pressure limit for any reason including
low temperature and normal
pressure loss of the tyre.
❒The seasonal temperature changes
affect tyre pressure.
The TPMS uses wireless devices with
electronic sensors mounted on the
wheel rims to constantly monitor the
value of tyre pressure. The sensors
mounted on each wheel as part of the
valve stem transmit various information
of the tyres to the receiver module, in
order to calculate the pressure.
IMPORTANT Monitoring and
maintaining the correct pressure in all
four tyres are particularly important.

The menu comprises a series of
options which can be selected using
the

operations indicated below.
Some options have a submenu. The
menu can be activated by briefly
pressing the SET/
button.

the main menu without a

Belt reminder (Buzzer
reactivation for SBR
indication)
(for versions/markets, where provided)
This function can be displayed only
after a dedicated Alfa Romeo
Dealership has deactivated the SBR
system (see "SBR system" paragraph in
the "Safety" chapter).
Service (Scheduled
servicing)
Using this function you can display
information about the mileage intervals
for vehicle servicing.
To consult this information, proceed as
follows:
❒press button SET/
briefly. The
display shows the service interval
in kilometres (km) or miles (mi)
according to the previous setting (see
the "Unit of measurement (Setting
the unit of measurement)"
paragraph);❒briefly press the SET/
button to
go back to the menu screen or hold
the button down to go back to the
standard screen.
IMPORTANT The “Scheduled Servicing
Plan” includes car maintenance at
fixed intervals, refer to the
"Maintenance and care" chapter. The
"Service" function is automatically
displayed, along with the
warning
light coming on, with key at MAR-ON -
starting from 2,000 km (or equivalent
value in miles) before these deadlines
and is activated again every 200 km (or
equivalent value in miles). Below 200
km servicing indications are more
frequent. The indication will appear in
kilometres or miles according to the
"Unit of measurement" settings. In
addition, when the vehicle mileage is
close to a scheduled servicing ("service
coupon"), and the key is turned to
MAR-ON, the
warning light will
appear on the display along with the
word "Service" and followed by the
number of kilometres or miles left
before vehicle servicing. Contact a
dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership. The
operations in the “Scheduled Servicing
Plan” will be performed and the
message will be reset.Passenger airbags
(Activation/Deactivation
of passenger's side
front airbag)
This function is used to activate/
deactivate the front passenger's airbag.
Proceed as follows:
❒press the SET/
button and, after
the message (Bag pass: Off) (to
deactivate) or (Bag pass: On) (to
activate) is displayed by pressing
buttons "
"or"", press the SET/
button again;
❒a confirmation request message will
appear on the display;
❒by pressing the
orbuttons
select "Yes" (to confirm activation/
deactivation) or "No" (to cancel);
❒press the SET/
button briefly, a
message confirming the selection
will be displayed and you will go back
to the menu screen, or hold the
button down to go back to the
standard screen without saving. The
warning light
in the instrument
panel switches on.

amberEXTERIOR LIGHTS FAULT
The symbol and corresponding message appear
on the display if a fault is detected in one of the
following lights:
❒daytime running lights (DRL)
❒side lights
❒dipped headlights
❒direction indicators
❒rear fog lights
❒reversing lights
❒number plate lights.
The fault relating to these lights may be caused
by: one or more blown fuses, one or more blown
bulbs or a broken electrical connection.Check, and if necessary replace the fuses
involved, in accordance with the "Fuse
replacement" paragraph in the "In an emergency"
chapter; if this does not resolve the fault, check,
and if necessary replace, the bulbs involved, in
accordance with the "External bulb replacement"
paragraph in the "In an emergency" chapter.
Should this operation also fail to resolve the fault,
contact the dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership, for
a comprehensive check of the electrical system.
amberSERVICE (SCHEDULED SERVICING)
The
digital warning light is automatically
displayed, along with a dedicated message, with
key at MAR-ON, 2,000 km (or equivalent value in
miles) before the following scheduled servicing
interval and is activated again every 200 km (or
equivalent value in miles).Contact a dedicated Alfa Romeo Dealership. The
operations in the “Scheduled Servicing Plan” will
be performed and the message will be reset.
