Special Operating Conditions
In addition to standard maintenance items,
the maintenance log indicates services that
should be performed on vehicles that are
driven under especially demanding
conditions. These “special operating
conditions” and their required maintenance
items are clearly indicated in each chart.
NOTE:You should perform these
additional maintenance services only if
themajorityof your driving is done
under the special operating conditions
indicated. If you onlyoccasionally
drive under these circumstances, it is
not necessary to perform the
additional services.
Engine Oil Selection
Please refer to your Owner’s Manual for
the specific oil viscosity rating
recommended for your vehicle/engine
type.
Flex Fuel Vehicles (Use of E85)
When using E85 fuel, your engine oil and
oil filter may need to be replaced more
often. If using E85 fuel more than 50% of
the time, change the engine oil and oil
filter every 2,500 miles or 3 months. If
using E85 fuel less than 50% of the time,
follow the normal engine oil and oil filter
change schedule (5,000 miles or
6 months).
