If you perform maintenance by yourself, be sure to follow the correct
procedures as given in these sections.

Checking and replacing fuses
If any of the electrical components do not operate, a fuse may have
blown. If this happens, check and replace the fuses as necessary.
Turn the engine switch to the “LOCK” position.
Open the fuse box cover.
Engine compartment
Push the tab in and lift the lid
off.
Instrument panel
If the following procedures seems difficult to perform, consult any
authorized Toyota dealer or repairer, or another duly qualified and
equipped professional.
Remove the meter cover
screws, by using a Phillips-
head screwdriver.
If the steering lock is engaged,
please disengage it. (P. 127)
