Master warning light
The master warning light also
comes on or flashes in order to
indicate that a message is cur-
rently being displayed on the multi-
information display.
Multi-information display
If any of the warning message is shown again after its correction pro-
cedure has been performed, contact your Toyota dealer.
■ Warning buzzer
In some cases, the buzzer may not be heard because of noisy place or an
audio sound.
If a warning message is displayed
The multi-information display shows warnings of system mal-
functions, incorrectly performed operations, messages that indi-
cate a need for maintenance and reminder messages. When a
message is shown, perform th e correction procedure appropri-
ate to the message.

Ensure that the shift lever is in P and depress the brake pedal.
Touch the Toyota emblem side
of the electronic key to the
engine switch.
The engine switch will turn to IGNI-
TION ON mode.
When the smart key system is
deactivated in customization set-
ting, the engine switch will turn to
ACCESSORY mode.
Firmly depress the brake pedal.
A message indicating how to start the engine will be displayed on the
multi-information display.
Press the engine switch.
In the event that the engine still c annot be started, contact your Toyota
dealer.

●Did anyone inside the vehicle open a door during setting the
alarm?
The sensor detects it and the alarm sounds. (P. 68)
To stop the alarm, turn the engine switch to IGNITION ON
mode or start the engine.
●Is the electronic key left inside the vehicle or the moon roof
opened?
Check the message on the multi-information display.
●When a warning light turns on, refer to P. 387.
●When a warning message is displayed, perform the correction pro-
cedure appropriate to the message.
