1.Carefully lever off the cap from the roof liner using a screwdriver, for example.2. Take the hexagon key out of the tool kit in the luggage compartment.
For information on the tool kit:fPlease see the chapter “TOOLS” on page 198.
3. Insert the hexagon key all the way into the opening.4. Applying continuous upward pressure, turn the key clockwise until the roof is fully closed.5. Remove the key. 6. Refit the cap. 7. Stow the key in the tool kit.fHave the fault corrected at an authorized Porsche dealer.
Storing end position of the sunroof
The end positions of the roof are lost after disconnection/connection of the vehicle battery, if the vehicle battery is exhausted or after jump lead starting, after emergency operation or after changing the fuse for the roof.
The roof closes with its full closing force when storing the end position.fEnsure that nobody is injured when closing the roof.
The vehicle must be stationary in order to store the end position of the roof.1. Switch on ignition. 2. Pull and hold button C in the first setting until the roof closes and stops in the closed position.The process for storing the end position begins after approximately 10 seconds. The roof now opens and closes once automatically. Storage is now complete.If this process is not executed, please perform the following procedure:Pull and hold button C in the first setting until the roof closes fully and stops. If necessary, repeat the closing operation until the roof has stopped moving completely.The process takes a maximum of 15 seconds.Start the storing process again if the button is released before the roof has stopped moving completely.

Raising/lowering the wind deflector
Conditions for operating the wind deflector
– The ignition must be switched on (engine running or switched off).– Maximum speed up to approx.: 75 mph (120 km/h) for lowering and124 mph (200 km/h) for raising.If these speeds are exceeded, raising/lowering of the wind deflector is not possible.fPress and hold the switch until the end position of the wind deflector is reached and the message on the multi-function display goes out.

Before emergency operation
Before carrying out emergency operation, please check:1. Was the ignition switched on during operation of the wind deflector and convertible top with the switch?2. Are the fuses defective? Please see the chapter “CHANGING FUSES” on page 267.3. Remove the ignition key so that the wind deflector and convertible top are not activated unintentionally.
Removing the rear wall trim panel
1. Fold the rear seat backrests forward ( illustration). 2. Carefully lever the rear wall trim panel out of the clip points using the screwdriver (from the tool kit) and fold it forward or pull off the rear wall trim panel using the two loops (depending on vehicle equipment) and fold it forward ( illustration).

3.Remove the emergency operation key A from the rear wall trim panel.Emergency operation of wind deflector
1. Remove plastic attachment B from the emergency operation key A. Swivel the metal insert approx. 90° up out of the plastic attachment B and pull out forwards.
2. Fold both roll-over protection covers C forward and unclip them by pulling them up.

3.Unscrew both screws D on the roll-over protection cover using the screwdriver.4. Release roll-over protection cover E out of the clip points by pulling them upwards.
5. Unscrew screws F on the wind deflector motor using the metal insert A (TORX®) of the emergency operation key.6. Pull retaining bracket G forward (lever it out using the screwdriver if necessary) until the gears no longer engage. Remove retaining bracket.7. Retract the wind deflector manually.
Releasing convertible-top drive
fUsing the hexagon on the plastic attachment B, turn the emergency hand screw H approx. 180° anti-clockwise.
fOnly loosen emergency hand screw H, do not unscrew it completely.

Opening the convertible-top compartment lid
1. Reassemble plastic attachment B and metal insert A. 2. Insert the metal end of the emergency operation key between the convertible-top compartment lid and convertible top.Ensure that the bend of the plastic attachment B is pointing towards the rear of the vehicle.3. Guide the emergency operation key forward along the plastic trim until it slides into opening K up to marking 1 on the plastic attachment B.
4. Turn the emergency operation key approx. 90° in the direction of travel so that the plastic attachment B is pointing upwards.
5. Insert the emergency operation key up to marking 2 on the plastic attachment B and turn a further 90° in the direction of travel until a noticeable resistance is overcome.6. Turn the emergency operation key approx. 90° against the direction of travel and remove it.7. Repeat the procedure (steps 2 to 6) on the opposite side.

8.Using both hands on the driver’s and passenger’s side, firmly pull the convertible-top compartment lid upwards.9. Grasp the convertible-top compartment lid in the center from the rear and set to the upright position.
Emergency operation of rear side trim panel flaps
1. Disconnect both connectors L.
2. Loosen both screws M on the motor/gear unit using the metal insert A (TORX®) of the emergency operation key.3. Pull motor/gear unit N forward (lever it out using the screwdriver if necessary) until the gears no longer engage.

3.Remove plastic attachment B from the emergency operation key.Swivel metal insert A approx. 90° up out of the plastic attachment B and pull out forwards. 4. Insert plastic attachment B into the access point for the convertible-top lock emergency operation and turn it to the left or right until it slips into the socket.5. Turn plastic attachment B anti-clockwise until the latching hook is fully extended (noticeable resistance).
6. Pull the convertible top to the windshield frame manually. 7. To fully close the convertible top, turn plastic attachment B clockwise until the latching hook fully engages in the catch (noticeable resistance).

Information
If the ignition key is removed and the door is opened while the lights are on, an audible signal (gong) warns of possible battery discharge.– In some countries, differences are possible due to legal requirements.
The vehicle’s exterior lights can mist up due to temperature and humidity. This misting will dry off after a sufficient distance has been driven.
Low beam/driving light
If the light switch is set to the position , the low beam is switched on automatically in the following situations:– Dusk– Darkness– Driving through tunnels– Rain– Highway driving (on vehicles with Porsche Dynamic Light System PDLS)
When the low beam is switched on, the indicator light on the speedometer lights up.
Information
Fog is not automatically recognized.fIn the event of fog, the driving light must be switched on manually.
Daytime driving lights
If the light switch is set to position (light off), the daytime driving lights come on automatically when the ignition is switched on.
If the light switch is set to position , the daytime driving lights come on automatically in bright conditions and when the ignition is switched on.
The daytime driving lights are not active when the light switch is set to position (low beam/driving light).
Automatic driving light assistant
The automatic driving light assistant is a comfort function. The driving light (low beam) is switched on and off automatically depending on the ambient brightness.
The automatic driving light assistant also controls the daytime driving lights, low beam, Automatic Coming Home lights and the equipment-dependent dynamic cornering light.
The automatic driving light assistant is activated when the light switch is set to the position .
Despite possible support by the driving light assistant, it is the responsibility of the driver to switch on the driving light using the conventional light switch in accordance with the relevant national regulations.
Activating the headlights using the driving light assistant therefore does not absolve the driver of responsibility for correct operation of the driving light.
