INSTRUMENT PANELS DIALS
1. Rev counter.
Indicates the speed of rotation of the engine (x 1 000 rpm).
2. Coolant temperature.
Indicates the temperature of the engine coolant (°Celsius).
3. Fuel level.
Indicates the quantity of fuel remaining in the tank.
4. Vehicle speed.
Indicates the current speed of the moving vehicle (mph or km/h).
5. Small display screen.
6. Central display screen.
7. Display management button.
Starts a manual CHECK.
Recalls the service information.
Resets the selected function to zero (trip distance recorder or service indicator).
8. Lighting dimmer button.
Adjusts the brightness of the lighting of the instruments and controls.
With large central display screen
Panel grouping together the vehicle operation indication dials and
warning lamps, with permanent back-lighting.
For more information, refer to the paragraph relating to the button
or function and its associated display.
With small central display screen

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
DISCONNECTING / RECONNECTING THE
CABLES
To avoid discharging the battery, do not leave the vehicle lighting
on repeatedly with the ignition off (refer to the "Energy economy
mode" paragraph).
It is advisable to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is to be left
unused for more than one month.
Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals fi rst.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Retract the active spoiler then close the windows and the doors
before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition
and wait 1 minute before starting to permit initialisation of the
electronic systems. However, if slight problems remain following
this operation, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop.
Referring to the corresponding section, you must yourself
reinitialise:
- the remote control key,
- the electric windows and the automatic partial opening of the door windows,
- the GPS satellite navigation system.
 Raise the locking tab
D fully.
 Position the open clip E of the cable on the positive terminal (+)
of the battery.
 Press vertically on the clip E to position it correctly against the
battery.
 Lock the clip by lowering the tab D .
CHARGING THE BATTERY USING A BATTERY
CHARGER
 Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.

Follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer of the char\
ger.
 Reconnect starting with the negative terminal (-).
 Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are
covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove them
and clean them.
Do not force the tab as locking will not be possible if the clip is not \
positioned correctly.
Start the procedure again. Some functions are not available if the battery is not suffi ciently
charged.

Cooling
Towing a trailer on a slope increases the temperature of the coolant.
As the fan is electrically controlled, its cooling capacity is not depen\
dent
on the engine speed.
 To lower the engine speed, reduce your speed.
The maximum towing load on a long slope depends on the gradient and
the ambient temperature.
In all cases, pay attention to the coolant temperature.
Braking
Towing a trailer increases the braking distance.
Tyres
 Check the tyre pressures of the towing vehicle and of the trailer, observing the recommended pressures.
Lighting
 Check the electrical signalling on the trailer.  If the warning lamp and the
STOP warning lamp come
on, stop the vehicle and switch off the engine as soon as
possible. The rear parking sensors will be deactivated automatically if a
genuine PEUGEOT towbar is used.
When not towing a trailer, remove the quickly-detachable tow ball
before driving, so as to avoid masking the central rear lamp.
