MONITORING
"SETUP" MENU
 Press the "SETUP" button to gain access to the confi guration
menu:
- "Display confi guration",
- "Voice synthesis",
- "Choice of language",
- "Vehicle parameters",
- "Alert log".
For safety reasons, confi guration of the multifunction screen by
the driver must only be done when stationary.
Display configuration
This menu allows you to choose a colour scheme for the screen, to
adjust the brightness, set the date and time and choose the units for
distance (km or miles), fuel consumption (l/100 km, mpg or km/l) and\

temperature (°Centigrade or °Fahrenheit).
Voice synthesis
This men allows you to adjust the volume for navigation instructions and\

to choose the type of voice (male or female).

Choice of language
This menu allows you to choose the language used by the screen
(French, English, Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, German, Dutch, Turkish,
Polish, Russian).
Vehicle parameters *
This menu allows you to activate or deactivate certain driving and
comfort equipment, arranged by category:
- Access to the vehicle ● Plip action (selective unlocking of the driver's door; refer to "Access"),
- Parking sensors
- Operation of wipers
● Rear wiper linked to reverse (rear wiper operates in reverse gear; refer to "Visibility"),
- Lighting confi guration (see "Visibility"):
● Duration of the guide-me-home lighting,
● Directional headlamps (main/additional directional lighting),
● Mood lighting (Interior mood lighting),
● Daytime running lamps function ** .
Alert log
It lists the active alerts by displaying their associated messages in tu\
rn.
Setting the date and time
 Press " SETUP ".
 Select "Display confi guration" and confi rm.
 Select "Set date and time" and confi rm.
You can select " Synchronise the minutes with GPS ", so that the
minutes are adjusted automatically by satellite reception.  Select the setting to modify. Conform by pressing "
OK ", then adjust
the setting and modify again.
 Adjust the settings one by one.
 Select " OK " in the screen then confi rm to save the setting.

DISPLAYS IN THE SCREEN
Displays according to context:
- time,
- date,
- altitude,
- ambient temperature (the value displayed fl ashes if there is a risk of ice),
- parking sensor information,
- audio functions,
- telephone and address book information,
- satellite navigation system information.
- display screen or navigation system parameter settings menus. From the
PEUGEOT Connect Media Navigation (NG4 3D) control
panel, to select one of the applications:
 press the dedicated "RADIO" , "MEDIA" , "NAV" , "TRAFFIC" ,
"ADDR BOOK" or "SETUP" button for access to the
corresponding menu,
 turn dial A to select a function, an item in a list,
 press button B to confi rm the selection,
or
 press the "Back" button to abandon the current operation and
return to the previous display.

Connect Media Navigation (NG4 3D) section.

You can adjust the angle of the screen to one of four defi ned positions,
by repeated presses on the front or back of the control B . The position
of the screen is memorised on closing.
Adjusting the angle of the screen
The screen opens automatically when the ignition is switched on. It
closes automatically three seconds after switching off the ignition if the
audio and telematics system is switched off.
ACCESS TO THE RETRACTABLE SCREEN
You can open or close the screen at any time, with the ignition on, using\

control A .
- Press button A : the screen folds.
- Press button A again: the screen opens again.
If you have closed the screen, it will open again automatically:
- on switching on the audio and navigation system (unless it had been closed manually while the system was in operation),
- when an outgoing telephone call is made,
- when a voice command is given,
- when a warning message linked with the STOP warning lamp is displayed ( PEUGEOT Connect Navigation (RT6)).

EASE OF USE and COMFORT
USB PLAYER
This connection box, consisting of a USB port, is located in the front
armrest.
It permits the connection of portable equipment, such as an iPod
®
digital audio player of generation 5 or later or a USB memory stick.
It reads the audio fi le formats (mp3, ogg, wma, wav...) which are
transmitted to your audio equipment and played via the vehicle's
speakers.
You can manage these fi les using the steering mounted controls or the
audio equipment control panel and display them in the multifunction
screen.
When it is in use, the portable equipment charges automatically.
For more information on the use of this equipment, refer to the
corresponding audio section.
PEUGEOT CONNECT USB
This connection box, consisting of a JACK socket and a USB port,
is located in the front armrest.
With the USB port, it permits the connection of portable equipment,
such as a digital audio player of the iPod
® or USB memory stick type.
With the JACK socket, it permits the connection of any type of portable \
player.
It reads the audio fi le formats (mp3, ogg, wma, wav...) which are
transmitted to your audio equipment and played via the vehicle's
speakers.
If the equipment is connected to the USB port, you can manage these
fi les using the steering mounted controls or the audio equipment control
panel and display them in the multifunction screen.
If the equipment is connected to the USB port, when it is in use,
the portable equipment charges automatically.
For more information on the use of this equipment, refer to
the PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5) or PEUGEOT Connect
Navigation (RT6) section.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION
ENERGY ECONOMY MODE
System which manages the duration of use of certain functions to
conserve a suffi cient level of charge in the battery.
After the engine has stopped, you can still use functions such as
the audio and telematic system, windscreen wipers, dipped beam
headlamps, courtesy lamp, etc. for a maximum combined duration of
thirty minutes.
This period may be greatly reduced if the battery is not fully charged. \
SWITCHING TO ECONOMY MODE
Once this time has elapsed, a message appears in the screen indicating
that the vehicle has switched to economy mode and the active functions
are put on standby. If the telephone is being used at this time:
- it will be maintained for 5 minutes with the Bluetooth system of your PEUGEOT Connect Sound (RD5),
- it will still be possible to fi nish the call with the PEUGEOT
Connect Navigation (RT6) or PEUGEOT Connect Media
(NG4 3D).
EXITING ECONOMY MODE
These functions are reactivated automatically next time the vehicle is
driven.
To restore operation of these functions immediately, start the engine
and let it run for at least 5 minutes.
Let the engine run for the period specifi ed to ensure that the battery
charge is suffi cient.
Do not repeatedly and continuously restart the engine in order to charge\

the battery.
A fl at battery prevents the engine from starting (refer to the
"Battery" section).
LOAD REDUCTION MODE
System which manages the use of certain functions according to the
level of charge remaining in the battery.
When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily
deactivates certain functions, such as the air conditioning, the heated \
rear screen...
The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as
conditions permit.

DISCONNECTING / RECONNECTING
THE CABLES
To avoid discharging the battery, do not leave the vehicle lighting
on repeatedly with the ignition off (refer to the "Energy economy
mode" paragraph).
It is advisable to disconnect the battery if the vehicle is to be left
unused for more than one month.
Do not disconnect the terminals while the engine is running.
Do not charge the batteries without disconnecting the terminals fi rst.
Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition before disconnecting
the battery.
Retract the active spoiler then close the windows and the doors
before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition
and wait 1 minute before starting to permit initialisation of the
electronic systems. However, if slight problems remain following
this operation, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualifi ed
workshop.
Referring to the corresponding section, you must yourself
reinitialise:
- the remote control key,
- the electric windows and the automatic partial opening of the door windows,
- the GPS satellite navigation system.
 Raise the locking tab
D fully.
 Position the open clip E of the cable on the positive terminal (+)
of the battery.
 Press vertically on the clip E to position it correctly against the
battery.
 Lock the clip by lowering the tab D .
CHARGING THE BATTERY USING A BATTERY
CHARGER
 Disconnect the battery from the vehicle.
 Follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer of
the charger.
 Reconnect starting with the negative terminal (-).
 Check that the terminals and connectors are clean. If they are covered with sulphate (whitish or greenish deposit), remove them
and clean them.
Do not force the tab as locking will not be possible if the clip is not \
positioned correctly.
Start the procedure again. Some functions are not available if the battery is not suffi ciently
charged.

Installation of radio communication transmitters
Before installing any after-market radio communication transmitter,
you can contact a PEUGEOT dealer for the specifi cation of
transmitters which can be fi tted (frequency, maximum power,
aerial position, specifi c installation requirements), in line with the
Vehicle Electromagnetic Compatibility Directive (2004/104/EC). Depending on the legislation in force in the country, certain
safety equipment may be compulsory: high visibility safety vests,
warning triangles, breathalyzers, spare bulbs, spare fuses, a fi re
extinguisher, a fi rst aid kit, mud fl aps at the rear of the vehicle.
The fi tting of electrical equipment or accessories which are not
recommended by PEUGEOT may result in a failure of your
vehicle's electronic system and excessive electrical consumption.
Please note this precaution. You are advised to contact a
PEUGEOT representative to be shown the range of recommended
equipment and accessories.

EMERGENCY OR ASSISTANCE CALL USING
PEUGEOT Connect Media Navigation (NG4 3D)
In an emergency, press the SOS button until an audible signal is heard and a "Confi rmation / Cancellation" screen is displayed (if valid SIM card inserted).
A call is made to the PEUGEOT Emergency team which receives locating information from the vehicle and can send a detailed alert to the relevant emergency services.
In countries in which the team is not operational, or when the locating service has been expressly declined, the call is sent to the emergency services (112).
Warning - the emergency call and the services are only active if the internal telephone is used with a valid SIM card. With a Bluetooth telephone and without a SIM card, these services are not operational.
Press this button for access to PEUGEOT services.
Customer call
Select "Customer call" to request any information about the PEUGEOT marque.
Select "PEUGEOT Assistance" to make a roadside assistance call.
PEUGEOT Assistance
This service is subject to conditions and availability. Consult a PEUGEOT dealer. If you have purchased your vehicle outside the PEUGEOT dealer network, we invite you to have a dealer check the confi guration of these services and, if desired, modifi ed to suit your wishes.
If an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.
The message "Deteriorated emergency call" associated with fl ashing of the orange indicator lamp indicates a malfunction. Contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
