Changing a bulb
Model with halogen headlamps

Front lamps
Before doing any work on your vehicle, switch off the ignition ( Ready lamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting from automatic operation of the engine.
The headlamps are fitted with polycarbonate glass with a protective coating:  do not clean them using a dr y or abrasive cloth, nor with a detergent or solvent product, use a sponge and soapy water or a pH neutral product,  when using a high pressure washer on persistent marks, do not keep the lance directed towards the lamps or their edges for too long, so as not to damage their protective coating and seals.
Changing a bulb should only be done after the headlamp has been switched off for a few minutes (risk of serious burns).  Do not touch the bulb directly with your fingers, use a lint-free cloth. It is imperative to use only anti-ultraviolet (UV) type bulbs to avoid damaging the headlamp. Always replace a failed bulb with a
new bulb with the same type and specification.

Access to the battery
The battery is located under the bonnet. To gain access to it:  open the bonnet using the interior release lever, then the exterior safety catch,  secure the bonnet stay,  remove the plastic cover on the (+) terminal,  if necessary, unclip the fusebox to remove the battery.
Disconnecting the (+) cable
 Raise the locking tab D fully to release the cable terminal clamp E .
Reconnecting the (+) cable
 Position the open clamp E of the cable on the positive post (+) of the battery.  Press vertically on the clamp E to position it correctly on the battery.  Lock the clamp by spreading the positioning lug and then lowering the tab D .
Your vehicle is fitted with a conventional 12 V battery, located under the bonnet, in addition to the high voltage battery used by the hybrid system. In certain conditions, if the 12 V battery is too discharged to activate the hybrid system, recharging from another conventional 12 V battery is possible. Do not carry out this recharge if the Readylamp is on.
Procedure for starting the engine using another battery or charging a discharged battery.
Before doing any work on your vehicle, switch off the ignition ( Ready lamp off) to avoid any risk of injury resulting from
automatic operation of the engine.
Do not apply excessive force on the tab as locking will not be possible if the clamp is not positioned correctly; start the procedure again.

Starting using another
battery
When your vehicle's battery is discharged, the engine can be started using a slave battery (external or on another vehicle) and jump lead cables.
 Remove the plastic cover from the (+) terminal, if your vehicle has one.  Connect the red cable to the positive terminal (+) of the flat battery A , then to the positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B .  Connect one end of the green or black cable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B (or earth point on the other vehicle).  Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the earth point C on the broken down vehicle (or on the engine mounting).
 Start the engine of the vehicle with the good battery and leave it running for a few minutes.  Operate the starter on the broken down vehicle and let the engine run If the engine does not start straight away, switch off the ignition and wait a few moments before trying again.  Wait until the engine returns to idle then disconnect the jump lead cables in the reverse order.  Refit the plastic cover to the (+) terminal, if your vehicle has one.
First check that the slave battery has a nominal voltage of 12 V and a capacity at least equal to that of the discharged battery. Do not try to start the engine by connecting a battery charger. Do not disconnect the (+) terminal when the engine is running.

Before disconnecting the battery
Wait 2 minutes after switching off the ignition before disconnecting the battery. Close the windows and the doors before disconnecting the battery.
Following reconnection of the battery
Following reconnection of the battery, switch on the ignition and wait 1 minu te before star ting to permit initialisation of the electronic systems. However, if problems remain following this operation, contact a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop. Referring to the corresponding section, you must yourself reinitialise (depending on version): - the remote control key, - the electric blind(s), - ...
Load reduction mode
System which manages the use of certain functions according to the level of charge remaining in the battery. When the vehicle is being driven, the load reduction function temporarily deactivates cer tain functions, such as the air conditioning, the heated rear screen... The deactivated functions are reactivated automatically as soon as conditions permit.

Changing a wiper blade
Removing
 Raise the corresponding wiper arm.  Unclip the wiper blade and remove it.
Fitting
 Put the corresponding new wiper blade in place and clip it.  Fold down the wiper arm carefully.
Before removing a front
wiper blade
 Within one minute after switching off the ignition, operate the wiper stalk to position the wiper blades vertically on the windscreen.
After fitting a front wiper
blade
 Switch on the ignition.  Operate the wiper stalk again to park the wiper blades.

Vehicle recover y
Before doing any work, with the ignition on, press the brake pedal and put the gear selector to position N , then switch off the hybrid system. If necessary because access to the vehicle is difficult, it can be moved a few dozen metres at a speed not exceeding 6 mph (10 km/h).
The front or rear wheels must not be on the ground, use a flat-bed lorry or trailer to recover the vehicle.
Use the towing eyes only to pull a vehicle out or to pull it onto a flat-bed.

EMERGENCY OR ASSISTANCE CALL
In an emergency, press this button for more than 2 seconds. Flashing of the green LED and a voice message confi rm that the call has been made to the "PEUGEOT Connect SOS" centre * .
The green LED remains on (without fl ashing) when communication is established. It goes off at the end of communication.
When the ignition is switched on, the green LED comes on for 3 seconds indicating that the system is operating correctly.
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request.
The cancellation is confi rmed by a voice message.
Press this button for more than 2 seconds to request assistance if the vehicle breaks down.
A voice message confi rms that the call has been made ** .
Pressing this button again immediately cancels the request. The green LED goes off. Cancellation is confi rmed by a voice message
To cancel a call, tell the "PEUGEOT Connect SOS" call centre that the call was a mistake.
"PEUGEOT Connect SOS" immediately locates your vehicle, starts communication with you in your language ** , and where necessary sends the appropriate public emergency services ** . In countries where the service is not available, or when the locating service has been expressl\
y declined, the call sent directly to the emergency services (112) without the vehicle location.
If an impact is detected by the airbag control unit, and independently of the deployment of any airbags, an emergency call is made automatically.

and to technological and technical limitations.
If the orange LED fl ashes: there is a system fault.
If the orange LED is on continuously: the backup battery must be replaced.
In either case, contact a PEUGEOT dealer.
