zThe ACC makes neither acceleration nordeceleration control and only issues warningin the following situation.•The vehicle in front is in a park or movingat an extremely slow speed.
zThe ACC may not be able to maintain the setspeed or the distance to a vehicle in front andmay not alert the driver, if the system cannotdetect the front vehicle properly in the fol-lowing situations.• When a vehicle enters in front of your vehi-cle very closely.•When a vehicle in front is offset to the leftor right.•When a vehicle in front is towing a trailer.•The vehicle in front is moving at a speedmuch lower than your vehicle.•A motorcycle or a bicycle.•A freight trailer that is not carrying a con-tainer.•The vehicle has a protruding load from thecarrier.•The vehicle has a low vehicle height.•The vehicle has an extremely high groundclearance.•When there is repeated steep uphill anddownhill driving.•When driving on an
irregular or uneven
road surface.•When being driven in a tunnel.•When you are carrying extremely heavyloads in the rear s
eats or luggage area.
CAUTION
•After the Plug-in Hybrid EV System start-ing for a while.•When driving in curved sections of roadincluding their entrance/outlet or runningbeside a closed lane in a traffic work orsimilar zone.•When the cover part in
front of the sensor
and the sensor become dirty or adheringsnow and ice*.•When water, snow or sand on the road areextorted by the vehicle in front or anoncoming vehicle*.*: After the ACC control has been cancelledautomatically due to detection of a state ofdecline in performance, the ACC will notoperate in the temporary condition and willinform the driver by buzzer and indication.When the ACC is in the state in which it canoperate, indication is cancelled.Should indications not
cancel there
is a pos-

Cruise control switch
1- “ACC ON/OFF” switch
Used to turn on and off ACC or thecruise control function.
2- “SET -” switch
Used to set a desired speed and toreduce the set speed.
3- “RES +” switch
Used to make ACC operate at the origi-nally set speed and also to increase theset speed.
4- “CANCEL” switch
Used to cancel the control function ofACC or the cruise control.
5- ACC distance switch
Used to change the setting of the fol-lowing distance between your vehicleand a vehicle in front.

your vehicle.•When the distance from a vehicle in front isextremely short.•To an oncoming vehicle.•When your vehicle’s speed is much lower.•When the selector leve
r is other in the “D”
(DRIVE) position.•When the system is faulty (if the systemself-detects any fault, the “FCM SERVICEREQUIRED” message is indicated and the“FCM OFF” indicator lights up on theinformation screen of the multi-informationdisplay).If the message remains after the operationmode has been turned to the “OFF” positionand then turned back to the “ON” position,contact a MITSUBISHI MOTORS Author-ised Service Point.CAUTION
zBraking function will not work in the follow-ing situations.•Your vehicle is driving at approximately 30km/h or faster while the vehicle in front isstationary or moving extremely slowly.•The ASC is OFF. zThe forward collision warning functionand/or the FCM braking function may notactivate in the following situations.•When a motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian,animal, fallen objects, or anything otherthan a vehicle is present in front of yourvehicle.•When a vehicle suddenly appear just infront of your vehicle.•When a vehicle cuts in front of your vehiclevery closely.•When the vehicle in front is offset to theleft or right.•When the vehicle in front is towing atrailer.•A freight trailer that is not carrying a con-tainer.•The vehicle has a pr
otruding load from the
carrier.•The vehicle has a low vehicle height.•The vehicle has an extremely high groundclearance.•When there is a different object near thevehicle.CAUTION
•When driving on a road with many and suc-cessive curves, including when passingtheir entrances and outlets.•When accelerating and deceleratingquickly.•When the system recognizes driver’s steer-ing, accelerating, braking or gear shiftingactions as evasive actions to avoid colli-sion.•When driving on a road with steep andalternating up
and down slopes.
•When a road surface is surging, and there isunevenness.•When being driven in a tunnel.•When the your vehicle
changed lanes, and
your vehicle approached immediatelybehind the vehicle in front.•During a certain time after your vehicleturns left or right.•When you are carrying extremely heavyloads in the rear seats or luggage area.•After the Plug-in Hybrid EV System hasbeen running for an extended period oftime.•Under adverse weather conditions (rain,snow, sand storms, etc.)
