i These Operating Instructions describe all
standard and optional equipment available
for your audio device at the time of going
to print. Country-specific deviations are
possible. Please note that your audio equip-
ment may not offer all the features descri-
bed. Becker

ule Important safety notes

WARNING
If you operate information systems and com-
munication equipment integrated in the vehi-
cle while driving, you will be distracted from
traffic conditions. You could also lose control
of the vehicle. There is a risk of an accident.
Only operate the equipment when the traffic
situation permits. If you are not sure that this
is possible, park the vehicle paying attention
to traffic conditions and operate the equip-
ment when the vehicle is stationary. General notes
You can use the Becker ®
MAP PILOT naviga-
tion module to turn the Audio 20 into a full-
fledged navigation system.
You can find more information under http://
www.beckermappilot.com.
i If your vehicle is equipped with the
Becker ®
MAP PILOT navigation module,
you can slide the controller diagonally to
move the map. Audio fadeout
The audio fadeout function is only active
when the Becker ®
MAP PILOT navigation
module is connected. Audio fadeout reduces
the volume of other audio sources, such as the radio or CD, when you receive a naviga-
tion message.
Audio fadeout on/off X
To call up the basic menu: press0066.
X Switch to the submenu bar by sliding 00520064

Fast forwarding/rewinding
X Press and hold the 0048or0049 button
until the desired position is reached.
You see the control menu. Pause function

X To pause playback: select«and press
the 008Bbutton to confirm.
The «display changes to 0050.
X To continue playback: select0050and press
the 008Bbutton to confirm.
The menu system is hidden. Stop function

X To interrupt playback: select±and
press the 008Bbutton to confirm.
The display «switches to 0050. The video
image is hidden.
X To continue playback: select0050and press
the 008Bbutton to confirm.
Playback continues from the point where it
was interrupted. The menu system is hid-
den.
X To stop playback: while playback is inter-
rupted, select ±again and press the 008B
button to confirm.
Playback stops and returns to the begin-
ning of the DVD. 0050is highlighted.
X To restart playback: select0050and press
the 008Bbutton to confirm.
Playback starts from the beginning of the
DVD. Selecting a scene/chapter
Introduction If the film is divided into scenes or chapters,
you can select them directly while the film is running, or skip forwards step-by-step. Some
DVDs do not permit this at certain points (e.g.
during the opening credits).

To skip forwards or backwards: press
the 0059 or0065 button.

X Press the 0048or0049 button.
The navigation menu (Y page 97) appears
for approximately eight seconds.

In both cases, playback will begin from the

Introduction If the DVD contains several films, these can
be selected directly. A film can be selected
either when the DVD is being played back or
when it is stopped.98
