Fluid leaks
• There should not be any signs of fluidleakage after the vehicle has been
parked.
Ti r e s
• Is the tire inflation pressure correct?
• The tires should not be damaged orexcessively worn.
• Have the tires been rotated accord- ing to the maintenance schedule?
• The wheel nuts should not be loose.
Windshield wipers
• The wiper blades should not show any signs of cracking, splitting, wear,
contamination or deformation.
• The wiper blades should clear the windshield without streaking or skip-
ping.
CAUTION
■If the engine is running
Turn the engine off and ensure that there is adequate ventilation before performing
maintenance checks.

New tread
Treadwear indicator
Worn tread
The location of treadwear indicators is
shown by the “TWI” or “∆” marks, etc.,
molded on the sidewall of each tire.
Check spare tire condition and pres-
sure if not rotated.
Replace or rotate tires in accord ance with maintenance schedules and
treadwear.
